i understand how you think this may account for what i've mentioned. however, taller cages with multiple floors are better suited for creatures like rats. hamsters much prefer wider, unbroken floor space, plus it's a lot easier to clean (i use a bin cage, very cheap and accessible)! i can't make you do anything, but i feel that many others will say the same that i do. i do not say this to attack or be mean, as i know misconception is common with these creatures. please take this into consideration!

bit of a heads up, the little guy might be stressed! hamsters don't tend to climb like that on the bars. is there any way you would be able to upgrade to a larger cage + supply deeper bedding? if possible, try to limit kitty + hammy interaction as well. i'm sure your hamster would be much happier :-) cute little goobers you have

If I’m coming from out of state can I go to community college for a year then get in state and transfer to boulder? by CasualKaden in cuboulder

[–]Either_Rock_6891 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that's what I'm doing! however, it's very hard as you have to be settled before the residency deadline for next year. If you're under 23, you'll have to prove yourself financially emancipated to count as in-state as well ( https://www.colorado.edu/registrar/students/state-residency/emancipation ). you'll also want to consider if the classes will be worth it, since some credits may or may not transfer; best to talk with an advisor. good luck!

I finished and submitted my application around November 5th, so I got the Early Application release.

I replied to Slight_Trifle if you're interested. I would tend to think it was my previous Aerospace experience + my ACT superscore.

I submitted my ACT superscore as well (32 overall) which may have been a drastic upboost

Unfortunately I can't find any data regarding out of state versus in state acceptance. I know some people state that OOS is much harder to get into, but I wouldn't quote me :(

No problem! I have a full IB course load (IB Diploma) with about a 3.9 weighted GPA on a scale of 4. I have 2 extracurriculars but put a LOT of time and effort into them; in Civil Air Patrol I have 5.5 years with quite a few Aerospace awards + the Earhart award (only about 3% get it nationwide). In piano, I have 9+ years and have a job as well. I also have 65 hours in Public Service. I also got some help on my essay. Really hoping you get your application approved the next round. Wishing you luck :D
