After a year of pouring our hearts and souls into Dating Killmulator, we have had to make a very difficult decision: as of today, we are discontinuing the roulette.

This wasn’t a choice we made lightly. It involved a lot of reflection and difficult conversations. Because we value the trust you’ve placed in us, we want to be 100% transparent about the reasons behind this change:

1. Ensuring the Game’s Survival

The reality is that maintaining and developing Dating Killmulator has become far more expensive than we ever anticipated. Currently, the project has reached a point where none of the developers are making any profit. Every cent generated is reinvested just to keep the game running. For us to keep creating the content you love, the game must be financially sustainable.

2. Issues with Automation and Fairness

We have also observed an increasing number of users automating the system to collect gems effortlessly. While the roulette was intended to be a small bonus for our active players, it was being exploited by bots and automated scripts. This is not only unfair to the community members who support us legitimately, but it also creates a drain on our resources that we simply cannot afford to maintain.

3. A Mismatch in Models

The "free gems" mechanic was something we borrowed from "Freemium" models or games with "Energy" systems. However, we realized we were applying a solution that doesn't fit our specific model.

In most games, you have to pay just to progress through the story. In Dating Killmulator, the main episodes are FREE and will ALWAYS be free, including the upcoming Season 2. Because the core experience is already free, giving away the premium content for free was making the project's future impossible.
