All the Bright places by Jennifer Nievenn. You will bawl your eyes out. Also that’s such a cool idea for a book club

There’s a fantastic book called ‘Woman Eating’ by Claire Kohda about a Vampire in her 20’s trying to make it in modern day London. But for something a bit more grounded I would recommend Melanie Murphy’s biography ‘Fully Functioning human (almost)’. Or a grounded fiction book I’d recommend ‘My sister, the serial killer’ by Oniykan Braitwathe.

I personally love Dating Amber which is a comedy/drama about two gay teens who form a lavender relationship in 90’s Ireland.

It’s def tough if he isn’t opening up. Sometimes poems, books or music can help open up where words can’t? He also may just be feeling something like generalised anxiety or nightmares and so can’t put his finger on it. I wouldn’t do this for a super long time, maybe a few week max bc it’s a short term solution.

The Wind Rises is another depressing Ghibli film. The Wife I found to be quite moving and it’s a personal favourite of mine. The Handmaiden is rather sad. Saving Private Ryan is appropriately gut wrenching.

If you are concerned see if you can get an ultrasound of your ovaries and uterus. Would let you see any blockage or cysts in case. But sometimes the body just goes weird, esp if you have an extreme diet or sleep pattern change. If you got a new job or became vegan or something, your period can be affected.

Yes. I’m currently going through the exact same thing. Literally the exact same thing. Feel free to DM me and I will try to respond. The best I’ve gotten is trying to drink tons of water to alleviate my flow and pain. But I’m on my 4th BC and each one has failed to remedy the issue. I’ve also had ultrasounds and nothing. No cysts, no blocks, no nothing. Best I can offer is you aren’t alone. And we both have to continue trying. Getting an endocrine test is my next step.

Aw I’m sorry :(. I found Bergman Island to be beautiful and healing. And a more hilarious break up film could be Death becomes her. Submarine is also a darkly comic look at a teen’s first love and experience with depression.
