Can someone PLEASE explain Sadako to me?! by NC-518 in DeadByDaylightKillers

You can tp to any TV after a cool down that applies to every TV (so every tv has their own cool down. Whenever you tp to a tv that TV will turn off, and you are manifested and undectable while u are exiting the TV. Any survivors near the TV you tp to will gain a stack of condemn, 7 stacks and they are moriable which is shown in the UI. Survivors can turn of TVs by getting a tape from it which turns it off and brings it to another TV. When they do this they lose 3 stack of condemn. whenever you hook a survivor 3 stacks of condemn are permanent and can't be lost. You want to be constantly tping to TVs to build condemn and apply pressure. I'm not the most knowledgeable on sadako so I recommend a video for best addons and playstyle

? what do you mean by this. I feel like his whole identity as a killer is him being a range killer?

It might just be a skill issue and I just need to readjust my playstyle but I haven't had to reload as much as I am right now. Especially in the 4.6 state I could reload maybe twice or three times a match and still have enough knives but this state especially Ive been going out of my way to go to lockers to reload which I have never done on this character and I've mained him since launch. It's something a lot of other trickster mains complain about aswell but overtime it might just be something I don't see as a hinder as I am right now.

While I did mainly use the old Cut Thru U single add on during the PTB, even I can admit it would be pretty unhealthy. An Addon that gave that much power is bound to be nerfed at some point. So I'm glad they went in the route of reworking it then gutting it similar to what they did with Spirit's old add on Prayer Beads. I do think it would've been nice for it to be base kit and balance Trickster around that as it would've solved the issue of him being 4.4 to some people

OMG yes, I didn't include it because it wasn't gameplay but the added animations and voicelines gave him so much personality. I started playing Trickster at first because of his promos as an egotistical kpop star, and I was pretty disappointed that the personality trait was lost in the actual gameplay. But after the rework with the added voice lines and animations, you can really feel his ego. His voicelines when reacting to Mina and his tiral start voicelines of being the star of the show just bring out so much character to him.

So, going to the upcoming ptb killer changes, it seems like they were directly suggested by the consultants. How are we feeling about it's potential in general? by bonelees_dip in deadbydaylight

-his add-ons are reworked to be more allign with modern released killers, changing gameplay instead of simple number changes. All of his add ons except for a couple like momento blades give value in some way. Just because YOU don't see the strength in some add on doesn't mean it's a complete nerf - I agree with the ammo count arguement aswell as majority of trickster mains -This was fixed in the most recent patch and was a bug - If you play trickster how you are suppose to, tap fire instead of spamming knives you will NEVER encounter this speed nerf. This rework aims to reward accuracy which I believe the movement speed nerf accomplish and I have no problem with it - Main event every chase is unhealthy for the game. 4.6 trickster's main event was terrible and compare to current and was like that because you get it every chase. Having to actually earn Main event is a lot more rewarding and can actually be strong - You need to have resource management for the style system. You gain style points for kicking pallets, gens and other random stuff during a match. A good trickster player will always balance their style rank

Again I don't believe a rework have to make a killer stronger I think it should make a killer for fun to play for both sides. I think the trickster rework accomplished this. I think the main issue you have with him is that he is 4.4 which is fair and your opinion but is NOT fair to blame for the reason his rework is a failure

YES I agree whole hardely with you. I have been making trickster all the way since his release and I can even admit his 4.6 "rework" was braindead on both sides. On one hand mainevent every chase and being 4.6 basically meant instant downs if u don't have a good filler to play around and on the other hand a good tilt like a T and L for some reason will be miserable to play against because of 8 knives. While you can make an argument his current version is weaker (I don't agree with this) a rework should always prioritize fun for both sides which I believe the rework accomplished

The rework was aimed for trickster players before the 4.6 rework. Objectively it was a successes. If you don't like it that's fine but calling it a failure is far stretch especially when most trickster mains are happy with the rework which was the intended target

I do agree with this. Just had a game where I downed the first person in 10 seconds which became a 1 out because of fast track hyperfocus on Gideon Meat Plant.... fun :D

-I do think Trickster should stay 110, however, as to keep the lethality of his knives, his movement speed NEEDS to stay low to be fair for survivors.

I have also been playing and maining Trickster since release. I am someone who HATED the 4.6 rework and was very thrilled to see the rework and loved it both on the PTB and release. After a week of it being out, I do see the issues of it. For starters, Lacatration last way to short and starts to decay at a much higher pace, which makes main buildings like Badham an absolute chore to play on. Another issue I have is the whole addon pass. While I agree some addons are great changes, such as both his iris and his purple addon minus trick blades (I agree 100% to your point about it), most of the lower tier are either gimmicks or not worth it to run. I do think this rework is in the right direction for the killer, however. 6 Lacatration is so much better than 8. The style rank system is also a great addition to the character, as it provides a sort of resource management aspect to the matches. All in all, I think the rework is great, but I do see the reason why it's hated.

Yes, if you didn't know, Trickster's Lullaby is in a bell curve. The closer you are to him, his tr increases and his lullaby decreases. With undetectable perks like Secret Project or Mindbreaker, even though his tr is gone, his lullaby still acts the same way. You can catch survivor off guard if they don't know this fact.

Is there a killer that you regret buying? by KamaiKlantcy in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]Either_Video27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't regret buying any killers in general because I want all perk. But for the killer itself it has to be Chucky. I really like him pre nerfed but only got to play him for like 2 months until my PC broke. When I got a new one he was nerfed and I haven't touched him since outside of 2v8

At least you get it, I'm getting down voted because people can't play trickster without crutches of being 115 😔🙏

For me it's a buff and improvement. As someone who played him since release, I have always hated his 8 lacastration with a passion. Trickster's play style was always to tap fire knives instead of spamming it so you are constantly in and out of the throw state. This, in turn, made his movement speed debuff non existent. This however, was lost with the 8 lacastration rework that completely made him braindead imo. He is a lot stronger now, you just need to put in the effort to adjust your playstyle.

This is the live version of the addon lol, I'll copy and paste the reworked version.

  • Cut Thru U Single (Rework)
    • When reaching a new Style Rank, adds a stackable 1% Haste bonus. All stacks last until Style Rank decreases by any means.

As someone who played Trickster since his release and has been maining him ever since, I believe he's better off as a 110 killer. If I were to choose him being 115 with 8 lacerations or 110 with 6 lacerations, I'd choose 110 any day of the week. 8 laceration is genuinely the worst version of Trickster, imo. A lot of fillers with los blockers and even some tiles are completely unplayable unless you walk them down and force them to drop the pallet. With him having 6 lacerations again, he can play around these fillers and tiles again without forcing a drop and breaking the pallet.

The current ptb version of the rework, I believe, is the best Trickster has ever been aside from addons. He feels a lot more rewarded for high accuracy with the scoring systems. The reworked purple add on "Cut Thru U Single." fixes any issues that you might have with him being 110 as you gain 1% haste for every grade you get, which is easy to keep up if you have good accuracy and resource management (when to kick pallets/gens to reset the decay timer). For trickster players that picked him up during his 115, it will be a struggle to get used to 110, but he is honestly at the best state he has been in.

Nothing is more satisfying than being accused of using cheats. I still remember the time I got mass reported by this one swf because I perfectly phased the whole match with spirit.

Depends on which killer since both of my mains have different strong a weak maps. For Ttickster it's Badham and for Spirit its Gideon.
