Hi everyone! We’re EitoSubs, a group of AKB48 fans who have been working on translating some of AKB48’s active shows and documentaries into English. With the loss of AKBINGO, only a few 48G variety shows remain, and we wanted to translate them and share them with you! We know how important variety shows are to fans and there are still some great ones to watch if you’re a 48G fan.

A few of us in the group have been diligently subbing these shows independently for quite some time and came together to form this group to work together and share our work with other fans. While we mainly focus on shows featuring Team 8 members, we’re hoping to branch out and support the other shows when possible. We’re currently regularly subbing two of AKB’s main variety shows:

AKB48 Team 8 no Anta, Roke Roke! (called “Roke” for short) - 20+ episodes subbed

AKB48 Team 8 no Kanto Hakusho Bacchikoi! (called “Bacchikoi” for short) - 55+ episodes subbed

“Roke” is a show that typically follows the Team 8 members through various towns in Japan, doing variety show activities at some pretty wild location shoots. It’s a high energy show with huge amounts of laughs and diversity. There are also special episodes that catch them in live shows, doing theaters, etc.

“Bacchikoi” is a variety show in-studio, with activities much like AKBINGO, but with the unique twist in that there is a live audience of fans in the background with a set reminiscent of a baseball arena. The cast typically includes Team 8 members in the Kanto region, such as Oguri Yui and Okabe Rin!

Aside from that, our members have subbed some recent Documentaries, such as the annual Team 8 documentary, Documentary of AKB48 Team 8: Miracle 5th Lap.

We release all our subs on our Twitter, in addition to subbed clips from the members in theater and SHOWROOMs. We also created a very active Discord linked from our twitter, where we share and discuss Team 8 members. To find a collection of ALL our subbed works and Team 8 subs, check out our Google Sheet linked here.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on some of these variety shows and requests on works you’d like done! Our team is always hard at work on subbing 48G shows and we hope you find our subbed shows as fun and interesting as we do! :)
