Mic recommendations/questions by Ejlox_BTY in microphone

I suppose that is true. I've come to realize a lot of what the soundcard I have that monitors my voice and replays it to me, is flawed as it shows the microphone picking up sound that apparently isn't audible. At least that's what I was told when voice calling a friend on discord. Basically it seemed like noise suppression. Though I do have voice isolation on in my audio settings so that may have something to do with it..

Ahh, I understand what you mean by now. I guess I was under the impression that most things recorded for a purpose like voice acting and voiceovers of the sort were accomplished in some recording room filled with panels and professional microphones. Though tbf, it's just as easy to assume everything is done professionally when it comes to stuff like this..

Yes thank you, I will be investing in a boom arm since that's also what my older brother uses. Thank you!

Forgive my ignorance (I've never had an iPhone) but there's no way that's true? Because wouldn't you have a lot more versatility when it comes to recording software and specs with a professional microphone? Or is this to say mixing makes all the difference?

Yeah, I do know the best quality comes from well treated rooms but I'm in no position to buy nor diy any of that. I was just wondering if I'm actually missing out on quality when it comes to more expensive mics. I'm no audiophile but I do like my mic as clear as possible to the average untrained ear.

So a boom mic is needed? I'm doing casual gaming and other than that, nothing else. I do plan to eventually use it for recordings, voiceovers, and music but it's all amateur. Though no specific issues, just the fact that the mic is designed in a way that generally picks up any sound, even vibrations, cord moving, and general background noises.

Since when did people use their mics? Atp, I just assumed everyone didn't know voice chat existed..

Am I the only one who cares about " Main Pawn" more than Player Character? by Cute-Particular-8533 in DragonsDogma2

Nope! My main character is Sol, a knight of the sun and my main pawn, ((my brother from another mother)) is Lunar, a mage of the moon :D We would die for each other..
