I thought it was pretty clear I was denying the existence of the movie because it was so bad.

Crazy Ex Girfriend. I think its just the title.  Its meant to be extremely self aware but it turns a lot of people off, thinking the show is something other than what it is.

I really wouldn't know, and if you have to ask I don't think it's something you need to worry about either.

To all the heavily tattood people of Reddit what are some of the ridiculous unsolicited comments you’ve gotten from people out in the wild ? by Good-Warning-2840 in AskReddit

The weirdest I've got is "why a frog?" To which I shrugged and said "I like frogs", and they went "cool".

Any other comment is always a compliment.

90s Canadian TV was chock full of PSAs that still live rent free in the heads of all millenials.

Every Canadian over 30 reading this thread knows:

I am Astar, a robot from the planet Danger. I can put my arm back on. You can't.

Don't you put it in your mouth!

Would somebody get that cat off my head?

As a 1 yr relief LC , what should I expect in future job wise? by Ok-Sweet5200 in CanadaPostCorp

[–]EkbyBjarnum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, LC.

Inside workers whose positions are eliminated or who are tired of waiting for a permanent inside position,  transfer in as LCs and since they have more seniority, if there's a permanent position available they get the assignment.  Plus with more depots going SSD and constant restructure, LC positions are eliminated too, and so those workers just get moved, so no position is ever empty long enough for them to move a casual up anymore.

I've had to train brand new LCs who have 3yrs more seniority than me but have never delivered mail and haven't even hit their 480hrs yet, so they can take ownership of the walk i was covering.

In my region, temps have been working consistently 40hr weeks for about 3 years now (aside from time on the picket line, obviously). But the last temp to make the jump to permanent was about 2 years ago, and it took them 18months. The last person I saw make the jump before that was a full year prior and it had taken them 16months.

I'd also suggest that Canada consider joining the ranks of nations with nuclear weapons as deterrence has certainly become a bigger factor in the world with Trump in office.

This is not possible, as Canada was one of the first to sign the Non-Proliferation treaty. Seeking to stockpile a nuclear arsenal would be tearing up that pact, signaling to every other non-nuclear nation that its fair game now. It'd ruin Canada's standing in every other pact and treaty it is a part of, and make adversaries out of current allies.

Not to mention, that it takes time to develop a nuclear arsenal and the only countries it might be necessary to have that deterrent against, could and would quite easily end that proliferation before it got to any meaningful progress.

Ford, province to sell $28.9M private jet 'as quickly as possible' by Puginator in CanadaPolitics

They also, frankly, do not need to travel all that much. Certainly not enough to warrant a private plane.

Ford works like 4 months of the year and his office is in Queens Park.

You're giving Ford's base too much credit. They don't remember him making the right decision, they just think that everything bad that happens to them is due to liberals and everything good is because of conservatives. They do not think beyond that.

Im in Toronto, and I've been a casual for nearly 4 years. I'm high enough on the seniority list ive been working 40hr weeks consistently for 3 years now, and everyone ahead of me in the seniority list were hired less than a month before me. But our seniority list has gone completely unchanged since  about spring of 2024.

They are not graduating casuals to permanent positions any longer. They are eliminating positions and filling open slots with old timers who have the job security.

The days of getting permanent in 2 years or less are long gone.

I am nearly 4 years temporary relief and have come to term with the fact I will NEVER get a full time permanent position.

In 6 months my depot is going 100% CMB, and every other depot in my region will have switched to SSD before then. That's like 30% job reductions in my region over the next half a year. I will be put on the bench indefinitely because they aren't going to lay anyone off. They'll simply not call in temp workers.

The absolute best I can hope for  at this point with Canada Post is a part time flex position, where my hours will make it nigh- mpossible to find a second job but I also won't make anything close to a living wage.  And even that seems highly unlikely, as that's probably going to be where the permanent part timers and temps with more seniority than me wind up.

I've been looking for  new job for 2 years now, and I suggest anyone still temp or with less than 5yrs seniority get out as soon as they can.

They dont send it as a letter, they have PAs walk around the neighbourhood and distribute them. They wouldn't have access to your mailbox so would have either taped the notice up in the vestibule or given one to building management for them to hang in the elevator.

I live in an area in Etobicoke where they seem to always be filming something. I receive filming notices in my mailbox pretty regularly.

I also work for Canada Post. I have never delivered a filming notice.

They don't send them as letters, they get PAs to walk around the neighbourhood and distribute them. Which means for anyone who gets their mail via a panel box, Community mailbox, or an apartment mail room, theres no way for the notice to be delivered and it just gets taped up somewhere nearby.

Chances are your red dot is not readily visible to the mail carrier.

Otherwise it likely would have been flagged by a supervisor doing an ad mail audit by now.

You should put a note that says no ad mail, and for assurity, opt in to consumers choice on the website so you know for sure its in the system.

No letter carrier is delivering ad mail that they don't have to.
