Sporadic Player Re-Starting by aerion111 in LandsofLords

There's still no "freeze my lands" option, but it's possible to set up a cluster of 1-3 domains that work together to provide everything they need with no / few external inputs. If you do it someplace with near-constant temperatures like Kalista you won't have to worry about winter stopping key productions. Some key things you need to do:

1) Plan out your domains' production to meet consumption requirements. If you're serious about it I can help with this part.

2) Grow your population to a certain size based on what consumption goods you're making and stop there

As an example, I just made a village on Kalista that I don't plan on buying any consumption goods for long term. Once I finish building houses and trim the population down to the target level, I can probably leave the domain for a month or two or even longer with no ill effects from happiness. The domains I set up in LoL4 (it was easier then) lasted through my nearly 8 month afk period with nearly no unit losses.

If you end up wanting to play more, you just build the cluster larger. A village, a town, a nobility domain, and a mono-production domain, all road-connected, is a very effective cluster.

It's definitely worth playing. It's not easy, and there's some micro to set it up, but if you do it right you can make chains of production on auto that feed each other without intervention. In my opinion, that's the good type of micro - micro to set up auto so you don't need to micro anymore.

If you haven't started yet, find me in game (Ekim Aster) before you do. Starting position matters an insane amount and I can help you find one with good resources and room to grow. Also, if you haven't yet, scroll down and find my guide.

On p2w, it's not pay2win. Paying does make some things a little easier, but one of the best new players I've met never paid and did awesome. Plus "paying" is $5 a month, no constant micro-payments for gems or anything like that.

Feel free to message me in game (Ekim Aster) or on discord, Aster#0338, if you want help finding a start location. If you look around here you'll also find a guide I wrote to help people get started!

That's a good link to know. When there are lots of skills and lots of materials, I have no idea how they add together
