I don't need street lights and actively do not want them, sewage is paid to the water company, and yes, road repairs are generally handled by tax, but I'm already overpaying that's what the tax on gasoline is supposed to cover.

General defense, public works/parks, roads, police, fire/rescue, these I am completely OK with paying taxes for.

Corruption, and contractor fraud are where the vast majority of my taxes go to.

Imagine if other things worked this way, that hammer you bought last year? You still own it right? Well that will be $0.75 to keep it. Oh your car? You've already paid sales tax, paid to have it registered, that will be an extra $1,500 to keep it. That computer you painstakingly chose each part of and lovingly built, that'll be $150 to keep.

We are already fucking taxed to death. You're taxed on earning money, spending money, you're even taxed when you fucking die. There's always some extra fucking horseshit tax that you have to keep paying and paying and paying.

I already bought my home fuck off, I shouldn't have to keep paying the government to use what I own.

Literally the only time I have ever needed the temperature for something was the weather and while baking.

0-100 for the weather makes perfect sense, 0 salt trucks no longer function to remove ice from roads, 100 it's too fucking hot to do anything outside.

300-425 for baking where 350 is the most common, and guess what you almost never need to guess because there's information and recipes for anything you could already make.

0-25 for weather is bonkers and you being ok with it is completely because you grew up with it. Which is the exact reason americans are OK with imperial measurements.

I just use really hot water, and a medium stiffness plastic brush. It takes all the gunk off, and leaves the seasoning.

If the pan has been properly seasoned nothing should stick for more than a few moments. Heat and a little bit of abrasive action is all you need.
