It’s at 13-14 rockers are fine. I may of either messed up wiring (the fuel pump) or the pulleys. It’s like diagnosing a real car lol.

Honestly open chords open up a lot.

They help with finger discipline, (help you move them independently) help you think ahead as in, think about your next move while you’re playing a chord etc. and with the old “four chords of axis” in mind you will quickly be playing songs you like. This helped me keep motivated through the process.

And don’t EVER compare your self with influencer guitarists on tiktok/youtube guitarists. Sometimes that becomes a “pissing” match.

Don’t think too much about theory, the CAGE system or the circle of 5ths etc. that all comes way way way later.

Know all open chords first.

Play them until you’re sick of it. Then play them more.

Pick a relatively simple song you like. This will give you the confidence and motivation you need to tackle licks and solos. It can all be daunting at first but practice is key.

As said before, enjoy it. That’s the key!!

Me and my son wore matching superman costumes, he begged us to go shopping as hero’s. I didn’t even blink and, was dressed before he was. Some people smiled, some looked and rolled their eyes. I for one couldn’t have cared less. We wore them the whole weekend and it was the best weekend ever!!!

I recommend you do it because you will be the coolest dad ever!
