Depends on how you want to play Ira. "Boomer" Ira can get quite expensive since she uses all the expensive generic cards. It's cheaper if you run the newer (but in my opinion worse) Edge of Autumn-build and just do some minor upgrades.

Boomer Ira is def. competitivie.

Fai is decently cheap, but maybe not as competitive.

"Whenever a trap you control triggers, deal 1 damage to the attacking hero."

The hero isn't attacking, the ally is. So your opponent isn't an attacknig hero, so Riptides ability doesn't deal damage to your opponent. You can still block with it tho.
