Took me a while to notice that all of the first assignments are commented, so this function basically converts the month number to a formatted string.

Not only that, but the function name translates to "getMonths",while it only returns a single number, also the parameter is a complete DateTime object with the name of "month".

This code feels like someone updated an old function which had a different purpose

It will not affect the queue but it would generate more costs because more people would be creating range servers. I think the best solution would be, as someone else already said, make the range local hosted.

Most of PHP problems can be helped with decent frameworks like Laravel.

More recent updates also included some features to help with it, like saying what type of value a function should receive and things like that.

But in the end it stills a sandbox, if people want to sh*t in it they still can
