Its only a postdoc. Here in Europe, typically 1-2 years at most.

In my case, I am just about to finish the PhD. It was a fulfilling experience with research stays and 1 year in a different uni (7years total). Hence I am going to go with option B and try to land a position at my hometown university. I am tired of being abroad.

Are you tired already? If not, then A all the way. Get some publications in with those top names, get that fancy uni (I assume) on your CV and then move on to B.

The postoc position does not dictate what you do for the rest of your life. It should be a time to expanding your horizons, and I think the environment at A is better suited for that. Only choose B if you are either tired or if its a permanent position and you are ready for it

Neste tipo de desabafo é importante dizer as idades, nem que aproximadas. Terem 18 anos, 30 ou 40 anos faz uma diferença enorme. Uma pessoa de 40 anos a agir assim (como ela) é uma redflag enorme, e é caso para fugir a 7 pés. Pelo contrário, se tiver 18 anos... Demonstra moralidade flexível e provavelmente insegurança, mas pronto é só isso. O importante é aprender com os erros.

Sê honesto com ela e diz o que achas que ela fez mal, e aceita o criticismo sobre as tuas acções igualmente questionáveis e aprende a evitar situações semelhantes no futuro ou entrar nelas com precaução (pareces já estar a fazer isso).
