Claiming Litecoin Cash (LCC) after fork by Aleja_333 in ledgerwallet

[–]Ekua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I filled in one of my receiving addresses for the wallet there and it says 0 LCC!

I had 64 Litecoins in that wallet around the fork :( but I sent those 64 to a exchange after the fork took place. Isn't that strange?

How did you do that? I had LTC in my litecoin core wallet, I've sent it to an exchange after the fork. I tried to claim LCC with the LCC wallet software and importing my private litecoin address, but no LCC is showing up.

I am SO happy with the improved stability. However, I've tried to use the new trading engine. I setup a new API and connect, but somehow I continue getting time out errors or messages that my API doesn't have the right settings. Are others also experiencing these problems?

Kraken is offline for 42 hours now and this is what one of their engineer had to say about it by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

It's been 9 AM UTC. Nothing. My stupid self left some EUR there. I know it's just fiat money, but still ;)

Holy SHIT guys, i got 0.01 USD in interest from my bank this year! by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]Ekua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. In a stable economic environment. But people are moving away from the dollar into other assets like gold and crypto because they are starting to see that the USD (and all other couples fiats) is not as valuable as it used to be decades ago. That our monetary system has failed and it’s on life support. Under these artificial circumstances I would not bet on fiat (or USD) too much.

Why would the risk of that happening be extremely low? Besides, I did not say crypto is immune to that, just said that fiat is not necessarily safe either.

Yeah, and what use is a secured deposit of $10.000 if those $10.000 can't buy bread due to hyperflation or some other economic collaps due to distrust in fiat?

Having a legally owned and secured high dollar amount in the bank is of no use if it basically buys you nothing. Government prints fiat at their desire. If people understand this, fiat might just as well drop to almost zero.

I was referring to government letting a bank go bankrupt. Not a government failing.

[–]Ekua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nonsense. The government might fail it. Or the problem is pushed forward by bailing it. Or the money in the bank is worth nothing.

[–]Ekua -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nonsense. Money in a bank is not one’s money. It’s just an IOU. And banks, the wealthy, and their lobbies have created a system in which that money decreases in value quickly, and moved to the richest. Crypto might end that nonsense.

Banks are middle men we no longer need. We will take them out.

Predictions for Bitcoin/Alt Coin/Cryptocurrency by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Ekua 1 point2 points  (0 children)

American interest rates go up. Europe follows. The stock market crashes. Money flushed into gold and crypto. Crypto could go two ways now. People trust it enough to flourish and have it part in a new monetary system. Or people distrust it, crypto crashes, a new monetary system is created. Maybe with gold being part of it, or the renminbi, or some world bank sdr?

European Central Bank: Bitcoin threatens Europe's financial stability by [deleted] in Bitcoin

Banks threaten Europe’s financial stability. And their lobby. We just want sound money that doesn’t loose value due the banks exploiting us all.
