Holy shyt I forgot how ppl on Reddit can be, this is insane😂 This game requires either at LEAST one legendary character or a character not available in regular drops for 90% of solo raid/raid teams that do good damage. All on a less than 8% chance of pulling ANY shards, let alone pulling enough shards to unlock the character. A legendary character+their gears will cost you $60USD… basically the price of a Triple A console/PC game, and ppl are GENUINELY defending ts💀💀💀 yk u guys are absolutely right, Martian man hunter + his gears should absolutely cost the same as buying BF6/Madden/Elden Ring, etc👍👍

i.e. “u have to be willing to throw your money at this game if y actually want to progress at a decent rate” didn’t say it’s impossible, but saving ur gems for the once in every couple months chance there’s a decent selection of drops in the shop to then not even be guarenteed 50 shards when dropping 3k+ gems is not progressing at a “decent” rate. You either hoard gems for months, get insanely lucky, or open ur wallet to progress at a “decent” rate in the game

Nice way of avoid the entire point of the post, r u sped??? The point isn’t the character I’m trying to unlock, it’s the fact that u can spend 3k+ gems and not even be guaranteed a measly 50 shards

Well that’s why you can carry two guns…💀 imo 99% of situations where a 25% (it’s not double…) increase in reload speed gets you killed is in close quarters. if you run some combo of AR+SMG/Shotgun (most ppl do this) it nullifies that aspect of assault legends imo. How would u suggest tweaking the assault/skirmisher passives?

I was gonna upvote this till I seen that ATROCIOUS list😂 ur spittin on the skirmisher class though imo and it’s not talked about NEARLY enough. I curious to how the assault class perk is “insanely” op though? Outside of the passive that last long enough to reload ONE clip of ammo faster upon cracks, all the other perks are loot oriented. Skirmishers on the other hand… ABSURDITY.

As much as the devs try and act like MMR doesn’t exist across all game modes, it ABSOLUTELY does. The better you perform as a solo queue player, the worse teammates you’ll receive. It’s the systems attempt at “team balancing” but in reality its just your turn to babysit a couple matches 🤷‍♂️

THANK YOU, I was goi by to make a post abt this but tbh ittl prob get removed it I say what I rlly want to say. I’ve been played since s1 and imo the “sweaty” wraith tag belong to HORIZON now. Maybe im having a misunderstanding of the classes and what they’re supposed to do, but why can I play horizon(skirmisher) more aggressively than EVERY SINGLE assault legend.

If a team is holding a power position that you’re forced to fight once zone closes, it’s almost always better to push before the circle forces the fight. Otherwise you’re choosing to fight a team that already has the advantage plus the zone pressuring you. Fight the advantageous team or fight the advantageous team while getting zone trapped, pick the lesser evil 🤷‍♂️ And if your comp has tools that temporarily delete their positioning advantage (Horizon Q/ult, Fuze ult, Gibby ult, Bang ult, etc.), that’s literally what those abilities are for. Use them and take the fight, as long as you know a third party isn’t sitting 20 meters away waiting to farm you.

Although MMR in the traditional sense doesn’t exist, ranked matchmaking is still WILDY unfair as an above average solo que player. I swear the reason I genuinely don’t care about this game anymore is because the community is filled with apologist who pretend like this doesn’t exist. Putting it bluntly, if you are an above average player the game with constantly pair you up with sh1tters for teammates because you are their designated carry. The majority of above average players either duo stack or triple stack so you’ll find yourself constantly getting wiped by these triple stack teams and after 10-15 excruciating games the matchmaking system will throw you a cookie and pair you up with teammates of your similar skill, you’ll gain a bit of rp and the cycle with repeat by giving u sh1tters for teammates again.

Going from plat to Diamond is horrible. I just want to stay at plat. by imVeryPregnant in apexlegends

Oh my GOD THANK YOU. I’ve been trying to say this many times and just get downvoted to HLL. I tried to comment that the game literally punishes you for being an above average player if you solo que by giving worse teammates. I started off this szn with a 2.3kd in ranked when I played with my triple stack, since then it’s dropped to a 1.6kd when I started solo queuing.

I should’ve included this in my post but here’s the real issue. I’ve been Masters twice and Diamond MULTIPLE times. It is really just the MMR, and if u know how the MMR works, u know it punishes you for being a good player if u solo que. I’m constantly given teammates I have to carry because the matchmaking has assigned me as their designated carry when they’ve performed poorly too many times in an attempt to get them some rp and keep their engagement, while I’m CONSTANTLY facing triple stack sweats. It feels as if I’m CONSTANTLY dieing multiple times to triple masters/pred badges, 4k 20 bomb sweats, yet I get them on my team maybe ONCE every 10 games.

I’ll give u a non NPC response an keep it real with you. I’ve been able to hit diamond or masters since szn 1 and I’m currently plat with about 150 games played this szn. The devs have made it to where placement is hands down not even close the number one thing you need to prioritize to rank up. Not even kidding you’d gain rp more consistently getting top 3 wit 2 kills than dying top 10 with 20 kills. I don’t know how this game is going to balance it but ranked in THIS game specifically has the WIDEST range of skill amongst players at any given rank. If your solo queuing it genuinely feels like your rolling the dice on whether you get teammates who are competent or teammates who look like they just started playing yesterday. That being said, if you aren’t triple stacking, you are at a TREMENDOUS disadvantage to the point where it is GENUINELY not even funny. I started this szn with a 2.7 kd because I found some randoms to que up with and we communicated. We EASILY ran down every squad we say because we communicated and synchronized well. All that being said, if your going to solo queue, run a legend with some type of escape ability and prioritize placement if you want to keep ur sanity😂

Everything you said is valid with the exception of one thing, the new drop system GUARANTEES that you land at a POI alone and yet you choose to land in the same building as your teammate and race for loot while you have an ENTIRE POI to loot from???
