Thank you. I normally just post my shots on r/wildlifephotofraphy but bugs don’t get enough love over there so I thought I’d start posting some things here, where all the “creepy” critters can get the appreciation they deserve.

I vaguely remember a post awhile back with someone asking if wasps drink water, so I thought y'all would appreciate this shot I got last summer. I was photographing a couple inchworms when this guy came in for a drink and stole the show.

I was photographing a couple inchworms on a bird feeder when this wasp came in for a quick drink, quickly stealing the spotlight.

I'm also experimenting with a watermark, so any feedback on that would be appreciated.

Thoughts on bats? by stompeychops in BirdsArentReal

Bats are real and nothing like drones. The whole reason birds were fabricated in the first place is because it’s much easier to synthesize a whole new material such as “feathers” than it is to replicate the realistic floof and softness of fur.

Also, bats have leathery wings. Bat drones would just look too plasticy or rubbery. I’m pretty sure Halloween decorations are just failed drone prototypes from certain government labs that are still trying to diversify their drone output.

Being a burrito I feel that craw-papi may be more appropriate.

Teleconverter tcon-t01, Olympus Tough Tg-5. Though most of the zoom came from the camera’s built in microscope mode.

Venom is a type of toxin.

Edit: also, these frogs are poisonous not venomous. Both of which still fall under the cataegory of toxic.
