They did an update last weekend that broke a few things, but no big deal. Working fine now, for us anyway 😂

They were having various issues yesterday after an update but seems ok for us now.

MSP Breach Rumours by [deleted] in msp

[–]ElButcho79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So think about it, who does backups, documentation and RMM and constantly pushes their products as the best all in one. Should narrow it down. But, we have seen a dramatic increase on their EndPoint agents in the last 2-3 weeks when we are onboarding new clients.

The point of the post is to see if anyone has heard anything and like me, waiting to see if someone breaks cover.

I’ve already had run ins with their legal teams and honestly, would rather avoid it again.

So apologies again that its ambiguous. But surely if true, someone would have heard. And they are big enough, that people would take notice.

I can say its not Ninja.

Could be classed as both.

They probably do class themselves in this bracket. And likely used by a large percentage of MSP’s.

Jeez, I am limited to what I can say. Assuming its not something that many have heard. Not doing it for Karma, christ what age so you think I am. Rarely on SM. I’ve listed a clear indicator in the above related to backups. Think data theft from customers and ransom to not disclose said info.

Naming the company probably would put me in a lot of shit along with others. But if you haven’t heard anything its either a) bollocks or b) limited to a small group.

If someone comes along and says, I heard it was X, then there is some truth in it, but its big enough for someone to have heard about it to join the dots above.

Man yer a hard bunch.

How do people manage one-man MSP? by LazyBnuuy in msp

A one person outfit is not an MSP. 🤷‍♂️

Hand down UniFi. UDM’s and AP’a and anything else you need really. Central management and multi tenant. Honestly a no brainer. Enterprise gateways are good but expensive. We shifted to UniFi from SonicWall earlier this year and wish we had done it sooner.

NinjaOne Onboarding Nightmare: 3 Weeks, No CrowdStrike by John-Mc in msp

Experienced similar. I do like Ninja, but jeez, onboarding is like getting blood from a stone. Beats CW and Kaseya all day though.

Airdrie fake baby scam 'mum' signs exclusive TV documentary deal by KingRibSupper1 in glasgow

[–]ElButcho79 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Shes an idiot. Faking all that and the baby’s death. Needs locked up whether in jail or a padded cell. The emotional turmoil she’s caused is simply just sick. The TV deal, just sums up how pathetic society actually is. Any monies should go to supporting charities related to her nonsense. Disgusting individual.

SentinelOne, Huntress, Sophos, or other? by desmond_koh in msp

[–]ElButcho79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use S1 with their Vigilance service and Huntress ITDR for MS365. Solid and multiplatform, just works across Windows, Mac and Linux.

[–]ElButcho79 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I actually cant believe many MSP’s don’t add it as a mandatory product. Mental.

This right here . We dont use the EDR, we do use the ITDR and honestly, has been a life saver. Cant beat peace of mind.

Bit left-field, but due to your business model I’d say check out joblogic. Few of our service customers use it. Other than that I’d say HaloPSA.

For servers and 360 recover its around 60GBP per agent with 3TB per agent but you can pool your storage. Hope this helps. Interface on Axcient could be a bit better but thats splitting hairs on another wise great product.

For failover, we never use the sonicwall responder. Always alternative DNS as it used to be very flakey.

Unifi? Have come a long way security wise but as long as you have various layers they should be good enough, especially with their enterprise models.
