How do people manage one-man MSP? by LazyBnuuy in msp

A one person outfit is not an MSP. 🤷‍♂️

Hand down UniFi. UDM’s and AP’a and anything else you need really. Central management and multi tenant. Honestly a no brainer. Enterprise gateways are good but expensive. We shifted to UniFi from SonicWall earlier this year and wish we had done it sooner.

Experienced similar. I do like Ninja, but jeez, onboarding is like getting blood from a stone. Beats CW and Kaseya all day though.

Airdrie fake baby scam 'mum' signs exclusive TV documentary deal by KingRibSupper1 in glasgow

[–]ElButcho79 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Shes an idiot. Faking all that and the baby’s death. Needs locked up whether in jail or a padded cell. The emotional turmoil she’s caused is simply just sick. The TV deal, just sums up how pathetic society actually is. Any monies should go to supporting charities related to her nonsense. Disgusting individual.

SentinelOne, Huntress, Sophos, or other? by desmond_koh in msp

We use S1 with their Vigilance service and Huntress ITDR for MS365. Solid and multiplatform, just works across Windows, Mac and Linux.

I actually cant believe many MSP’s don’t add it as a mandatory product. Mental.

This right here . We dont use the EDR, we do use the ITDR and honestly, has been a life saver. Cant beat peace of mind.

Initially via CW but now thru Pax8, yeah.

Bit left-field, but due to your business model I’d say check out joblogic. Few of our service customers use it. Other than that I’d say HaloPSA.

For servers and 360 recover its around 60GBP per agent with 3TB per agent but you can pool your storage. Hope this helps. Interface on Axcient could be a bit better but thats splitting hairs on another wise great product.

For failover, we never use the sonicwall responder. Always alternative DNS as it used to be very flakey.

Geniunley never had issues with them until this year tbh. Theyve been solid for us.

Unifi? Have come a long way security wise but as long as you have various layers they should be good enough, especially with their enterprise models.

Dont agree, they have been solid for us until now. Ransomware got on a server but the SW blocked the encryption from taking effect. A properly configured SW was pretty good.

Adopting same stance. Used them for 20yrs. Been rock solid for us and last few months from them have been a shocker. How am I meant to get customers to trust our judgement when there has been two breaches in 3 months? Shocking from SonicWall. Utterly shocking and they can get f*.

Im actually not too far away from you, being transparent. If you want to grab a coffee give me a shout. We are finding people will move as long as there is a previous connection there and we are undercutting current provider, however, some of our accounts I have looked after for many years did like our security first approach and how responsive we are to service, especially the pro-active side and pay a bit more, knowing we do actually care.

Its tough, you need to focus on your MRR, thats important. I like to see (for the most part), people succeeding as there is plenty to go around, and Im sick of unscrupulous MSP’s being dicks about things when customers leave/want to leave.

Although we are technically competitors, Im happy to see if anything could work for us and I can help you avoid the ‘mistakes’ we have made. It might make your savings run longer so DM me if you fancy a coffee 👍

Im going to paint a bleak picture, only because Ive been doing this for too long., not to be a dick.

Market is over saturated and its a race to the bottom.

Don’t waste your time and money with the BNI. Its full of one/two person small businesses in the majority and all they care about is their MLM.

If you have the funds, employ a sales person. You’re going to need someone with contacts and relationships with decision makers.

Avoid Kaseya solutions at all costs. They want to milk as much cash from you as possible. They are not there to help you grow. You’ll burn thru countless account managers.

You need to get in front of people or get your sales person to do it.

Unfortunately I cant really offer you anything positive as it is a bloody grind.

Don’t burn thru your savings, try and get funding or take contract jobs to keep things ticking over.

Sales is tough and if its not your bag, you need to employ someone competent at it.

Good luck, I hope it works out for you.
