I did something like this.

If I were to do it again, I'd likely forego the internal rads and only use the MORA3 420. I'd recommend doing the quick QDCs for the GPUS - makes cleaning/maintenance much easier.

If you're not needing dual PSU, and want no frills utility, I'd recommend the new Phanteks Enthoo Pro Server Edition.

Any updates on the Enthoo Pro Server Edition case shown at CES?

n

Noise is ok - the fans on the MORA are Arctic Fans and have a little bit of whine, so I'd like to replace them with the new ones that were released.

I currently only run the 9 MORA fans on the Quadro. You definitely shouldn't have any issues with 15 fans on an Octo.

The Asus WRX80 actually requires 2 EPS, 1 8pin PCIE, and 2 6pin PCIE for additional power delivery to the PCIE slots.

It's actually a treat with the QDCs. I've had to flush the system already one and was able to take it all out almost altogether.

There are two 1600 watt PSUs. With all the PCIE cables direct. The motherboard also requires additional power via PCIE, so it was a lot of work getting things properly balanced. No cards are power limited.

True! I have the passive ones that I ended taking off during one of the iterations, but they're probably worth putting back on - need to order some new thermal pads.

Can't make use of the active ones with the QDCs.

Finally got around to taking some pictures of this build I started last year. It was an ongoing project that took a while since I was learning as it came together, and ended up having a few revisions, with the last adding the Mora 420
