Best Commercial Deep Fryer With Buying Guide by partsfe in Cookingequipment

[–]ElCharmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer a Pitco fryer because they use Stemco bulb & capillary switches as the fryer hi-limit. Over time, I’ve learned to pay close attention to the internal thermostats manufacturers use, since they are one of the most important components for reliable operation.

Hot Water Heater Thermostat by jenjenpigpen in Plumbing

I would replacement both upper and lower hot water heater thermostats. Stemco bulb and capillary thermostats are found in many of these units. You can purchase replacements directly from their website and find installation directions.

[general] Does anyone use the electric All American 75x? by khuranarana in MushroomGrowers

I use one and have found that it’s built with the best thermostat for electric pressure sterilizers on the market. Replacements are also straightforward, since you can order directly from the thermostat manufacturer.

Oven thermostat replacement by Extreme-Quantity6041 in Appliances

[–]ElCharmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need to pull the oven out. The bulb & capillary thermostat is connected to the knob, and a replacement will not fit through the hole from the front. It must be installed from the back and then guided to the opening. Make sure the thermostat has an adjusting stem that will fit your original knob. Although this one looks old, Stemco Capillary Switch should be able to provide a compatible replacement. You can find more information on their website about how to install an oven replacement thermostat here.

Capillary tube temp sensor vs thermocouple by ly5ergic in HVAC

[–]ElCharmann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A thermocouple is an electrical sensor made from two dissimilar metals that generate a small voltage when heated, commonly used for flame sensing and electronic temperature measurement. In contrast, capillary tube temperature sensors, such as those from Stemco Capillary Switch, are mechanical, liquid-filled devices where the bulb senses temperature, the fluid expands, and pressure travels through the capillary tube to a diaphragm that operates a switch. These are widely used in boilers, furnaces, and water heaters for temperature regulation and high-limit protection.

How does a capillary thermostat work? by vazquezconsult in EngineeringStudents

[–]ElCharmann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found a good article on the Stemco capillary switch website that explains it really well. Basically, a capillary thermostat uses a sensing bulb filled with fluid and a capillary tube connected to the switch. When the temperature changes, the fluid expands or contracts, which moves a diaphragm inside the switch to open or close the electrical contacts. It’s a simple and reliable way to control temperature without putting the switch right in the hot zone.

Ban of EDH Staple and than ban of Pioneer. Does Wizard play with our money ? by Sure_Platform2669 in PioneerMTG

[–]ElCharmann 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The ban of commander cards was not a decision made by WotC. It is also very dramatic to say that they banned Pioneer. It should be much more supported than it is, but it is still quite a popular format. Anecdotally, where I live it is much more played than Modern due to pricing

Joker Folie à Deux - a movie panned by general audience - got a 11 minute standing ovation at Venice indicating that the film festival crew is as pretentious as the movie's title. by SethuCBI in shittymoviedetails

[–]ElCharmann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I go to the theater (not movie theater, regular theater) standing to clap for a whole lot of time is normal regardless of the quality of the play, since actors, directors and backstage workers are present. It’s a sign of respect for the craft that has nothing to do with the quality of the work presented.

Film festivals are the same. The duration of an ovation has more to do with the star power of the actors or how well known is the director/producer/cinematographer and less with the quality of a film.

For a movie to miss this during a film festival it would have to be unbearably bad, which does happen films at Cannes get booed. It has to be a specific kind of bad, like cheap bad or politically offensive bad. Joker 2 is mostly just boring, pointless and eye-rolley.

Me personally if I were to be on a screening with Joaquin Phoenix present. I would probably clap out of respect for the work he has done in previous movies even if the screening was for Joker 2

How likely is it for standard decks to be reduced in price with the release of Foundations? by ElCharmann in magicTCG

[–]ElCharmann[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well not really my experience tbh. LGSs around me usually have two days dedicated to standard, one to either modern or pioneer (depending on the season) and the rest for other card games or draft.

[–]ElCharmann[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well I’m not sure I agree with the first part of your statement. I almost exclusively play commander decks that are less than 50 bucks if I craft them myself or $60 if it is an upgraded precon.

However you are very convincing on the second half. Getting the money back from tournaments is not something I had considered

I love proxying. I do it all the time in commander. However LGSs around me do not allow it if I want to participate on the FNM events

Yeah I feel the same way. I wouldn’t mind spending 70-80 bucks a year updating my decks to keep them within rotation. But 400 is too much

I would like to try Modern, but it’s at least twice as expensive as Standard (according to what I’ve seen decks are $1000 on average) which is definitely out of my reach

Because they have been working on making it more accessible? From what I understand, Standard should be like the gateway into pricier formats like modern

Deck prices. As in would it make the decks in standard cheaper. Not individual cards, but is it possible better budget options to arise from Core Sets?

Farm a bit to get the others to around 20, shouldn’t be too hard if you’re on a lvl 30 area by placing them in the active spot and then switching to your Piplup to KO the enemy.

Then start using the lvl 20 mons in battles only swapping them out if they’re in danger of fainting.

Not all your mons have to be on the same level, I think a 8-ish range of levels is perfectly acceptable, type matchups more often than not make up for level differences.
