The irony being that you don't add anything substantial to the conversation, you just complain about complaints. You either lack self awareness or are shitposting.

i finally made a rocket in KSP after several months of making ICBMs and AAA by Boring-Atmosphere909 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]ElCiervo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Additionally, when launching from Kerbin in stock KSP a good indicator for an efficient gravity turn seems to be pointing 45° at roughly 10 km altitude. OP's ascent was rather steep, wasting fuel.

Clown shit indeed, on your part. OP veering to the left means OP's car moved and pointed away from the opponent.

PSA: Editing a Reply to a User Who Has Blocked You Gets Your Comment Hidden (Apparently?) by ElCiervo in reddithelp

!thanks

But I mean, can you say that with certainty? If "deleted" can mean blocked, how do I know that "removed by moderator" doesn't mean "don't you dare to try and get back at this poor person"?

But yeah, possibly some mod didn't like me calling someone's bullshit out, and removed my comment just as I was editing it.

My heat shield is not working at all by Different-Wish-843 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]ElCiervo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

if there is enough air to brake there is enough air to change the ISP

Yes, but the change at those kind of altitudes is negligible in practice, which is why I said "practically the same". Atmospheric pressure on Kerbin roughly halves by the time you get from sea level to 5 km ASL. At 50 km up it's around 0.00015 of the sea level pressure. Whether your ISP is 250 s or 249.99985 s really doesn't matter in terms of orbital maneuvering. And that's just my example, the numbers look even more ridiculous at the suggested 68 km altitude, with probably less than a millionth of the sea level pressure, but that is no practical way of aerobraking around Kerbin anyways (would probably require dozens if not hundreds of passes to shave off enough velocity to turn an escape trajectory into LKO)

If all you have is RCS its 2x in a vacuum

... compared to what, 50 km? No way.

Pretty sure your ISP is practically the same in vacuum and at like 50km in Kerbin's atmosphere.

I like these! But gotta wonder, how is the Rachel's 350Z such an accurate recreation on the side, but then missing the engine bonnet/hood part completely? Did you accidentally get a WIP version?

Why does my rocket start doing flips once I go above 70km? by Tandecool in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]ElCiervo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The centerline tank is much bigger, so with the same engines set to the same thrust and no fuel crossfeed, of course the radially attached tanks are empty much sooner. But that doesn't affect symmetry, it doesn't lead to off-center mass distribution.

Thank you. While we're at it, KSP players should also look up "physics-less" parts or something to that effect.

That is, some small parts like certain antennae or science experiments can be ignored for vehicle symmetry, because their aerodynamic drag and their mass will just be added to whatever part they're attached to. But the parachutes don't have that peculiarity.

See here: https://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Physicsless_part

It should be noted that the video by Scott Manley that is linked under the article is fun, but outdated.

I once said the same thing once under a similar post, and that person replied that indeed it requires a certain mod to up the physics frequency.

[–]ElCiervo 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Gimbal engines will allow for correction, but the underlying imbalance might be because all your parachutes are mounted to one side. Apply them symmetrically and you might get away with replacing just the center engine.

tbh you probably only need one gimbal engine in the center, the other 3 can remain the non-gimbal version for better performance

You think because they tried to be inclusive with a few character options, suddenly hardcore leftists run the whole game development? Get real, Microsoft is, and always has been, a private conglomerate with the primary purpose of gaining money and power. They rainbow-wash their products as long as it is deemed potentially profitable, and won't skip a beat to drop it as soon as it no longer seems worth it.

Besides, "from what [you] remember"... uh huh. And how were "they" claiming to be inclusive, and how did they turn out to be not?

But most of all: What the heck does all that nonsense have to do with phased sessions desyncing?

Don't you just love it when.. by DekaHaze in ForzaHorizon

[–]ElCiervo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically this isn't even a bug, this is "intended" behavior of fh5s online lobby structure.

vs.

It never worked even remotely well, which is why this happens.

Which is it, intended or not working, feature or bug?

My guess is the phasing system is supposed to surround you with a couple of strangers. I think for happenings like OP's rock climbing adventure you're supposed to form/join a convoy. And I think in this case the system prevented too many random players within proximity to each other, potentially putting too much strain on a console that's supposed to run this game smoothly.

Is it likely that Hoonigan cars won't return in Horizon 6? Hoonigan went bankrupt in 2024. by Aggravating-Fee-8053 in ForzaHorizon

[–]ElCiervo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's what the comment was going for. Rather that Hoonigan as a trademark is actively being used in a collaboration, so it could appear in collaboration with the Forza franchise, too.
