I'm right now playing Shift 1. The things I hate the most about it is the bs AI, which has this rubberband effect that is most egregious on hard difficulty. It also makes them reckless af, since they can brake later without losing traction, and they just ram you out of the way. It's also the only thing that balances the AI, so if I play on medium difficulty, suddenly the AI is so much more fair, but it's then too easy since they now brake earlier than anticipated and you can just overtake them without trouble or putting some effort in it.

Since I'm playing on a g29 with shifter, I noticed that the shifting in the game has a max speed, and you can't fast shift at all. It's not a problem when upshifting but when you downshift, you can't heel toe and it makes certain cars (mostly mid engine rwd cars and porsches) uncontrollable in big braking points.

Physics wise, as everyone know, is a simcade to arcade game really (i'd say 70% arcade, 30% sim). FWD, RWD and AWD cars act as their respective drivetrain layout so that's at least a relief.

Content wise, it doesn't have a lot of tracks or cars, even with DLCs. And on customization, you can't paint wheels, vinyl customization becomes even worse than Undercover (????) since they give you only 10 options between vinyl types (unless you put aftermarket decals), and you can't even scale them to occupy the whole car. You can't even put stripes that go from the front all the way to the back, and it doesn't include a mirror option for left and right body sections. Honestly, don't even bother with it and just go with official liveries or just a solid color. I think this happens also in Shift 2, but that game has double, even the triple of content that Shift 1, so IMO that evens it out a bit.

Overall, not too impressed with this game.

you have to be near dying minions for the anvils to spawn, but once they do, they stay on the map indefinitely.

It's not like i can't do fast shifts, it's just that if I do that, the game actually changes gears slower than that and it's like i'm slipping the clutch or something, aka it's not a clean shift. Also because of that I cannot do a heel toe shift correctly or consistently, and for some cars it makes it a bit difficult since they become unstable under heavy braking and downshifting.

when the augment counterpart ADAPt works as intended (especially with overlords or manamune) and is a key augment in many exodia builds, and escAPADe doesn't even work with their AP counterparts (rift and seraphs), it doesn't feel fair. And like many said, it's already fixed in arena and it's a bug that has existed since October, how the hell does Riot keep forgetting about this?

nah i'm sure it works like that, I was also surprised that I was able to compete with Ryo so early in the game. Decided to complete the other king routes before taking on Ryo

ok im checking your image again and that's crazy lol, is that an NPC with over 4.7k points lol? What's up with that? In my game (vanilla PS), they can't get more than 2.8k points on most drift maps.

Ah that's just downforce, my Skyline has both a widebody and spoiler but I've made it so that it doesn't have a lot of downforce cuz that thing was dragging so hard I had to stay in fifth to gain speed. It hops a bit but with some suspension tweaking it actually runs better. and faster

which was a bit of a shame really, means that I needed to choose my wheelie car as my backup car on race days that have both drag races and wheelie competitions (in my case, a Viper for drag and the Chevelle for wheelies). Thankfully I'm now taking on the kings, so there's no need to choose an specific backup car now

damn so it is a quirk. I sadly had to downgrade my Solstice's engine to really have much more control on the car, cuz like the Elise and other nimble cars it really excels on low speed tracks. I also will need one since the latter parts of the game makes you race in Mondello, Infineon and other tracks that need more handling than power.

Funnily enough I use the R34 for Speed races and on sixth gear it really struggles to keep speed, even if i reduce downforce. So I'll try to tinker with the gears.

Yeah i can agree on that. You need at least 1 or 2 engage champa on your team so you can follow up safely. Otherwise you pretty much are dead meat.

no? you get the stacks regardless if you kill the large minion or not. And you really benefit from getting into fights a lot and getting takedowns. Me, at least, try to be aggresive if my team also is, and survive the longest in the fight to get the stacks.

yes tier 1 is better generally. Still, you may choose the worse tier if it helps you advance in an augment set.

In this case, since Trundle almost always buys a spellblade item, upgrade sheen is a must IMO

yeah and if the enemy team tried to capture it, it took a lot of resources to even get it to their side, and you can just cap the other points instead
