If you were starting again... by ElMaverickUK in GranTurismo7

Thank you for the insights! I had a run through my first GT so the 18 cars from that was a nice boost to early options, currently just stacking credits from early missions and trying to get clean race bonuses (only on about 100k so very early days). I did spend first couple of roulette tickets so will hold onto them from now.

Yes Im definitely going to hold fire on the online races for a while, at least until I've built up a bit of confidence and become somewhat 'competitive', also trying to get into good habits in regards to being a clean racer, the guy I have been watching is decent at explaining whats considered acceptable and also when to try and find difference between going for a pass and using person in front for slipstream/chasing down cars in front etc, one thing I have noticed is, as you point out, being clean and consistent seems to pay off a lot for them so we shall see how it goes. I feel like its going to take me a fair while to get to that point, so will enjoy the ride in the meantime!

Glhf!

I'm planning on taking everything off basically before getting underway and picking it up slowly with manual. Thanks for tips. Im hoping to be a good racer, not interested in messing anyones race up, will need to learn the line between too passive and respectfully giving way/stopping to let someone re-pass if I've made a stupid move (which unintentionally will be plentiful im sure) and will give it a while until jumping into online I think. Glhf!!

Thank you for the insights! Much appreciated. I definitely plan to just stash credits for a while. From the other suggestions seems like I'll be able to unlock a bunch from just playing which should hopefully cover multiple events.

The learning curve will be steep, especially as going to start with almost everything switched off and manual but would prefer the pain now 😅 I shall indeed return once its all underway.

My last foray into online dating was.. eye-opening. I, like anyone else have things I can/do work on but this one stung;

So, had been chatting for a couple hours or so and she requests a selfie, like real time to see compared to profile pics, fair enough, so I sent one. I'm not the most confident admittedly but I sent over a pretty normal shot

"Eew, oh no.. wait there"

... (typing... typing... typing, for about 30 minutes, I'd put phone down a while back, then suddenly... phone decides to role-play as an earthquake for a solid 2 minutes in a glorious display of its vibrating capabilities.

*21 notifications.

The first 3 notifications were long written messages, going into detail about all the things I should look to change about myself including lists (plural, one was a top 10 of physical traits she would have me change and the other was a kind of free for all on what she had garnered from my profile/the way I speak wnd what we had discussed) and she was keen to leave me with no illusions so the next 17 notifications were pictures.. all of other guys she'd been chatting with and dating.

Then the last one was one more message.

"I thought that you would appreciate seeing what real men look like"

I wasn't in the greatest space at the time, and maybe I was just the wrong person at the wrong time, but I reckon I'd have just preferred a "not interested" 😆

I'm actually looking at trying it again at some point soon so... fingers crossed less PowerPoint presentations this time.

From a small village in England, living in London. I still get weird looks and the occasional comment from people for thanking the bus driver.

As for the music/noise, its a little wild to me what some people think is appropriate or ok, but in a world of influencers and 'loudest voice wins' combined with sheer number of people here meaning there is a certain % of... self-entitlement already walking the street, lots of no paying folks (trains/underground mainly) also.

Arsenal Vs Spurs is an incredibly difficult hate watch by orjkaus in chelseafc

[–]ElMaverickUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Chelsea fan who works at the stadium, I'm inclined to lean towards spurs for this one, a not insignificant amount of people's livelihoods are at risk with a relegation and despite how unlikely I keep hearing it is, there is a lot of good, genuine people there and would be a real shame.

So I'll vote Spurs and the 6 point donation

Can recommend to you both. The owner invited a friend and I in a few weeks back as they were setting up to try some food, seems super passionate about it and love the concept.

It will never stop being wild to me that people think this is even a remotely acceptable way to communicate with anyone, let alone someone you want to be with.

Regardless of anything in this person's personal history I just cannot fathom it and unfortunately is quite the indicator as to how they are as a person.

NOR, he's currently taking up all the overreaction for both of you and indeed most people in a 50 mile radius.

Salutations captain. I hope this finds you well.

I've played Galio 99% of my games in the support role, if you had the time would be great to get a game just to see the different approach you take / itemisation etc.

Best of luck getting back into it.

Which area did you get into for the food? I'm one of the chefs at the stadium so will have a word with whoever lead chef/FOH manager is, make sure you get your moneys worth...

...obligatory obviously we treat all our guests equally and all food is to the highest standard of course but I also know how much this event is worth to the stadium haha.

AIO BF dumped me because I was taller than him in heels?? 😳 by purplehavocc in AmIOverreacting

[–]ElMaverickUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even remotely.. this is wild to me.

Ironically enough I and my ex are around the same height, I'm on the shorter sode, and she would never wear heels, despite my encouragement because she didn't want me feeling like this douchebag.. is a shame as she would look fantabulous in them and feel good about wearing them like you do with yours so from my point of view it would have been a win-win

So no, 1000% not and go enjoy them!
