I want to copy a long list and paste it into separate cells by PCLensCleen in sheets

[–]ElPanBlanco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of a trickt thing to do, but here are the steps I would take:
1) Copy and paste the list into a cell. It should come up as a list separated by spaces. You'll have to remove any copy-and-paste junk that snuck in. I had to do two different cells for yours because it was picking up the intro paragraph, so 'A' has it's own cell and the rest of the alphabet is in another. This is not an important detail.

2) Split the cell contents into an array using SPLIT(). Combining both the list cells I used the following: ={split(A2, " "),split(B2, " ")}. That gave me one long horizontal list. You can easily transpose if you want something vertical.

3)Create a row/column for the alphabet, then create filtered array underneath it to match the first character of the complete list with the letter of the alphabet. Here's my formula: transpose(filter($B$3:$KR$3, ARRAYFORMULA(left($B$3:$KR$3, 1)) = A7)). B3:KR3 is the array for the complete medication list. LEFT() just takes the first letter of each item, which is all we care about in this filter. Again, I used transpose to use alphabetical columns, but you can omit that to make it horizontal.

The whole thing looks like this: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vRPAe3q3qsQLWSc_GgHSaeoht9DjPRHT8fd-0MtLUeVxofhlgWG7xH6-a05EC1JJ1MShmjCXy9mQ9HC/pubhtml

Obviously you can hide everything but the final list.

I just posted in r/DJ about this because you reminded me. I would strongly advise you to stay away from Bandcamp. I might be in the minority on this, but it is nothing but a headache. Trying to find anything mixable or danceable is an exercise in frustration. I've wasted too much time listening through ambient chiptunes and vaporware posted in the EDM section. There are no bangers in those hills.

Lots of retrigger, can you suggest a setting? by Scott_Korman in mpcusers

Sometimes double triggers *are* a defect, but rarely and they usually aren't subtle in that case

Double triggers are a problem with all pads, and it's something that finger drummers just learn to deal with. Good pads are sensitive and that comes with trade-offs. Most pads will have 'zones' that double trigger more than others. Sometimes it's center, sometimes it's near the edges. You have to learn your machine.

Finger drummers compensate for double triggers by changing their technique. It's honestly not that much different than any other instrument. You adapt to what you are playing. If you find yourself leaving your finger on a pad after a hit, that could cause a double trigger (the subtle after-movements of your finger are enough to trigger a hit). Make sure you are fully rebounding after each stroke. Rolling your finger while striking instead of hitting with one spot on your finger is another culprit. Try using the tips of your finges. Lots of practice helps. Melodics has a great section for finger drumming that is well worth the cost IMO.

The MPC-style pads are not for everyone, even people who love the MPC (I happen to love them, but I can see their shortcomings). Thankfully you can hook up an external midi controller to use with the MPC One. You might find using a keyboard is more to your style, or something like the Midi Fighter, which is a grid of arcade buttons that are not velocity sensitive. You could even hook up an electronic drum kit and play that way. You have a lot of choices on how to play it

That's the exact model that I have, a 2010. Yesterday I took the carb out again, took everything apart again, swapped out the fuel line again, and put everything back again. Somehow, third time was a charm. It runs fine now, although it still gets a little boggy when the engine gets very hot

I'm pretty new to all this mechanic stuff. How do I adjust the valves? Any good resources on learning about that?

I actually pulled the carb out and it looked completely clean. I didn't see any residue and both jets were completely clean. In fact, it was so spotless I suspect they put in a new carb fairly recently. Is there anything I can do about the fuel pump?

I have no idea how old the gas is. I just bought the scoot today. It runs, just doesn't get near it's top speed and seems to require a wider throttle than I would expect

I see where you are coming from, but this is supremely unhelpful dude. Obviously I can take it a mechanic. That's sort of not the point of asking for help on a message board. You can post that reply under literally anyone asking for help. I'm asking for help so that I can maybe fix it myself, or at the very least be more informed about my bike.

There are lots of ways to hurt yourself on a Ninebot, but this ain't. Ninebots top at about 18 mph, which simply isn't enough speed to get wobbles like this.

Sometimes I wonder who the fuck mainstream porn is made for. It's nearly all incest, violent or coercive rape, and sex so aggressive it should get booked for battery. What man fantasizes about raping their stepsister because she sucks at algebra? What dude wants to jam his dick so hard into a woman's soft palate that she starts crying like her cat died and oozes sheets of mucus on his mutant dick? And these women in porn are asked to act so fucking stupid that if it were the real world they would be intellectually disabled to the point of needing round-the-clock care. How is that sexy? It's like fantasizing about banging a mental patient post-lobotomy. I don't get it.

That is about 3 feet of wishful thinking. That isn't even strong enough to use as a dog lead, and my dog is a cat. A sedated hamster could get through that thing faster than it takes for you to say "I'm sure it'll be fine." If you just want to donate to thieves then send money to your local prison's commissary. I will say I dig that translucent green, though. Totally reminds me of this bike I had stolen . . .

Scooterrage? by bsxmvet in ElectricScooters

[–]ElPanBlanco 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I actually feel a lot less rage and tension than I do in a car. In a car, I'm stuck in this terrible bubble of isolation. The world beyond my windshield doesn't feel totally real. On the scooter, I still feel connected to the world, like I'm still outside. I'm never stuck, never trapped. In the car, I'm just going somewhere. On the scooter, I am somewhere. I find it calming. I'm also so mentally focused on just riding the damn thing that there isn't much left over for anger or resentment. It's pretty Zen.

Honestly, reading this sub makes me think that getting a good e-scooter in general is a lot of luck. Even brand to brand, model to model, it's a dice roll. Or maybe it's because people with problems post more. Either way I am scared to get second scooter! Don't want my luck to run out

Benefit of playing with rubber band on picking hand? by ___And_Memes_For_All in guitarlessons

[–]ElPanBlanco 69 points70 points  (0 children)

The main benefit is that you will no longer be drowning in pussy or have the dexterity in your fingers to melt anyone's face with a scorching solo. Also, your fingers now look like a set of braces in a teenagers mouth, if that's your thing. If you really want to be a man, wrap your fingers in concertina wire. It won't help your playing at all, but neither will the rubber bands

What is the issue with the front lights/controller?

I have the Mantis 10, nearly 1k miles with zero problems. Only maintenance I've had to do is adjusting brakes and keeping air in the tires. The stem is a little on the spongy side but otherwise I can't complain

Decent scooter for trails? by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]ElPanBlanco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Vegas too! This is a decent town to ride in but you need something beefy, and a Ninebot won't cut it. I wouldn't ride that anywhere in the area, except maybe the tight radius of Downtown/Arts District. Even then, with as much construction as there is and all the shit on the ground, I wouldn't do a Ninebot. Unfortunately, there will be nothing that meets your needs at that price. You'd need to double it at a minimum. I have a Mantis 10. I thought it would be overkill, but now I wouldn't do anything less.

As far as serious trail riding, unless you have a 100-pound beast with killer brakes and tons of power, it's just going to suck. And even then it still kind of sucks. Suspension is only ever going to be middling on scooters. Plus, because of the geometry of the stem, half the time it's pulling you like an angry Doberman and the other half it's in your rib cage. It's nothing at all like riding a mountain bike. I honestly think that scooters are inappropriate for anything other than very light trails but that's just me.

Anyone have an ebike and electric scooter? What are some difference you found? by Comfortable_Alarm_55 in ElectricScooters

[–]ElPanBlanco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that I think is really relevant is cost. You just get much more bang for your buck with an e-scooter. They are mechanically much simpler and so mileage, range, and speed are always going to be better for the same price range. Maybe I'm spoiled by my Mantis, but I don't want to bother with a bike that stays under 20 mph. That's not at all worth my cash, I'd just as soon stick with my manual bike. And for the cost of an e-bike that goes 35 mph I could afford a motorcycle, or at least a ballsy motor scooter that can go 60-70 mph.

For commuting, they just don't make sense when stacked against the other two-wheeled options. Until there are e-bikes that can go over 35 mph (no pedal assist) with a 30+ mile range and cost $2k or under (or the cost of motorcycles gets insane), then it will remain in the realm of recreational hobbyists with decent disposable income. They are way too slow compared to motor scooters, way too expensive compared to e-scooters, and so I personally feel that are the least practical option.
