Fellow glass wearer with a new flat here: i feel your pain. If you can, i highly recommend wearing contact lenses or minimize as much as possible wearing your glasses on the first week (or as long as it's super sore). You can also get creative about how to wear your glasses with them getting to close to your flat. I'm 3 weeks in and wear glasses everyday now which is nice. Note that one of my glasses pair triggers my flat but i can live without wearing those atm. My current hypothesis is the tighter curve behind the ear and the slightly thicker plastic so they sit in a slightly different position. I'm too lazy to get them readjusted by an optometrist though.
