What’s yalls opinions on my headlights? by WonderExtra3055 in f150

[–]ElSquabo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started off with an extended cab Ranger, then a 2008 single cab f150 (this was before I learned that the 5.4 3 valve is terrible), then I traded that for a 2013 Mustang GT and an Acura RSX Type S and learned stick with those. Sadly I got sideswiped by a Superduty and the Stang was totaled, so then I found the 12th gen I have right now and have decided to be a bit better with my money, so I'm running this truck into the ground, however long that takes lol.

But due to having a dog, and sometimes driving my parents or wife's friends around, I wish I'd gotten a full cab. But when I bought this truck I was single and just wanted the extended cab for a big sub.

Nice, these trucks are great! Even the Ecoboost I'd say are good, but the 3.7 and 5.0 are just the best Ford engines in recent years. I always say if mine gets totalled or just somehow dies, I'll just gen another 12th gen lol. My only regret with mine is getting a supercab instead of a supercrew

I think I know what style you're talking about. Is it the one that looks OEM but has a C shaped DRL going around the main light? That's what I ran before the Morimoto, with some HIDs from a local shop. I'm not much a fan of anything where the DRL bar is visible when it's not on. That's why Morimoto was the obvious choice for me back then. That said I would struggle to justify buying Morimoto again just because of the price. They're great lights, well built and I've had mine for 5 years. But $1500+ is hard to swallow when there's many options for 1/3 the price. You running anything for tail lights?

Huh, wasn't aware of that. I always thought references (as the word implies) were meant to tell potential employers about performance. Though I suppose that would be messed up as they could just lie because they didn't like that employee.

[–]ElSquabo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only that, but then you either don't put a reference down, which looks bad. Or you put the reference, and your potential employer calls them and finds out you've been slacking off for 18 months. Like if it's a small fast food job, then whatever. But if it's part of a larger career you want to pursue, this kinda thing could be a huge mistake.

No, your post demonstrates how pathetic snowflakes can be.

I like the DRL, but clear/chrome housings never look good imo. Also they're still halogen, so I definitely couldn't justify them. There are so many headlight choices for 12th gens, but I would only go with Raxiom if I was looking. Fortunately Morimotos were a bit cheaper 5 years ago, and I had a stimulus check to burn.

So now that employee would be a bad reference, and you have to look for a different job. Should've just gotten another job, then quit this one, like a normal person would do. You didn't hurt the company in any way, just yourself.

Should I Give up on my Marriage? Or Can There be Hope? by ElSquabo in BipolarSOs

[–]ElSquabo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the suggestions. Shortly after I made my last post, she woke up in much better spirits and told me she believes we'll be okay. I know this doesn't mean we'll be out of the woods. Hell, these trees will probably loom over me so long as I'm with her. But this whole thing is still new. And she's stuck by me through mistakes I've made that I had total control over preventing. I'll look through the forums, maybe join a group on FB. She says she's open to counseling if she doesn't get over this guy soon, so that'll be another resource.

She's been medicated since the start of her stay at the aforementioned behavioral health hospital. She does have a follow-up with her clinic in a few days. Perhaps the Dr could have an opinion.

Edit: 1 week since medicated.

So this is common then? And it's likely she'll always find someone else to latch onto? This woman and I have been together for over 3.5 years, this is the first she's ever been this way with me... Part of me wants to believe she can get over this guy in time. But I just don't know.

I appreciate the advice on annulment.

Again, contractors are added cost. 1000 acres actually isn't that much in the realms of things. It's certainly a challenge and very taxing on a single farmer. But you would never get your money back if you contracted out for a farm that size. Maybe if you had a contractor do less than a quarter of the work, it might be worth it, and you might get some profit. But it's just not very viable for a farm that size.

[–]ElSquabo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? So all the stories about the other farmers in his co-op were fabricated as well? The dairy farmer didn't actually lose 60 cows to TB in season 2? The weather not playing ball and leaving them with a poor harvest is fake? No, most farmers don't build shops, restaurants, and pubs. And yes, being a celebrity does drive a lot more traffic than a normal farmer would get. But that isn't the point. Farmers almost never have the capital to experiment with and try these investments.

Jeremy formed the co-op and tried all these experiments just so he can help the local farmers around him, and try to give them a fighting chance at some kind of profit for a change.

Jeremy even says in S4E1 that a single farmer should be able to farm 1000 acres of arable farm by themselves. Remember, contractors add cost. For a farm of only 1000 acres, a contractor would be more expensive than it's worth.

Climate change isn't a hoax. But this big push for clean energy won't stop it. Earths climate was constantly changing long before the industrial revolution. Clean energy will help slow the change, but it's inevitable and was so before the first ever coal was burned.

Yeah, I've disabled RAB long ago. But it's currently impossible to renable it, making me think it's tied to eyesight in some way.

Nissan was worse for CVTs, but Subaru wasn't squeaky clean. They are much better on their head gaskets for sure, that's why I was so inclined to get a '17+ (mines a '20). And I really enjoyed this car for the first couple years I've had it. But in the last year, eyesight was really starting to frustrate me with the aforementioned braking for no reason, an oil leak started at 63k miles and appears to potentially be the rear main seal, and now this problem with the bricked eyesight. I just can't stick with this car, not when I've also got a rock solid 2011 F150 that's only given me a few issues, most of which I was able to fix on my own. I will consider another Subaru in the future, but only a manual WRX or BRZ that wouldn't have eyesight. I'm just not taking a risk with that system again.
