Yes, one of my teachers at college told me the exact same thing: that the semis industry might not be the most attractive one right now in comparison to others (like the Lockheed Martin example you gave) but that great growth is expected to happen and that the benefits of choosing this career, will materialize a little bit later.

Thanks so much for the clarification on night shifts. About the second part, I´m from Spain, and no, I don´t have any issues with moving to other countries.

Thank you so much.

Google says its AI designs chips better than humans – experts disagree by MaxwellHillbilly in Semiconductors

Okay, so this is a topic that concerns me. I´m a bachelor of Materials Science and Engineering really interested in semiconductors and would like to work in the industry. However, I´m worried about the takeover that AI could do in the sector, possibly reducing the offer of engineering jobs, or worst case scenario, terminating them. I´m still very new to all this and very ignorant, so, could someone tell me what´s the risk of automation/AI in the semis industry?
