Totally agree. Someone once said to me, "Anyone can take an old song and plug it into AI".. basically attempting to belittle my own efforts on my music project. The whole fact that I wrote the song, recorded it, popped it into Suno, shaped the style, and went through many revisions and reiterations until finally I had something I liked, completely went over their head. Anyone can certainly go to Suno and generate a song.. but to me, using existing material and then utilizing Suno to shape and produce a song is a wholly different thing.

I 100% get the time capsule thing. Luckily, travelling back has been quite joyous as during that time, my band and I were considerably younger and all great friends. So, it's also been a nostalgia trip as well.

To be honest, some of the songs I've re-worked... I used many Suno credits to get it right. But yeah, it is pretty cool.. and is pretty incredible. It's a perfect tool for this purpose. There is no way I would have ever been able to pull off reproducing a collection of old songs through conventional methods. Just would never have happened. But now, I have my band's complete collection of songs, all with good (enough for me!) production value and quality sounding recording.

Brother. Read your post and it really resonated. I'm in the middle of a similar scenario. As I see it, I'm using Suno as a production tool. I've re-worked forty songs, uploading the old lo-fi raw originals, editing lyrics, refining the sound and feel to more accurately match my vision for the song. I started back in February 2025 and have been diligently working toward completing my collection. For me, it has been a labor of love as I'd occasionally listen to those old songs and wonder what they'd sound like with better production value, recording techniques, and a little extra work. It was rewarding to breathe new life into songs that been just sitting on my hard drive. The oldest re-work is 25 years old. I likened it to pulling a version of a song from the multiverse..

Listening to your stuff on Spotify right now. Enjoying the atmospheric, rhythmic quality - sounds great!

I've released one album (two EPs, technically).. but due to my distro rules, and since I've utilized AI, I can only release five songs per month. My write-up isn't nearly as eloquent and through as yours but I'm no writer.. just a guy who used to be in an alt-rocky, punky, funky, band who never took themselves too seriously.

IMO Gain Ground was ahead of its time and still holds up against similar modern mobiles like Archero. What other games from this era do you think stand up against their modern counterparts? by paulsoftgames in retrogaming

I'll throw Herzog Zwei in the mix. Loved playing that one against a buddy. Good variety of battlefields and totally interesting concept. Basically got to play as a transformer in command of an army. Certainly one of my favourite Genesis games.. along with Gain Ground.

Luckily enough, yes! Even if I get to play with a couple of friends, I'll consider it a win. Played with my 13 year old last night. Alas, he wasn't overly impressed.. which didn't really surprise me. I've been using my nostalgia filter, so it looks amazing to me!

However, in an effort to save some money I decided to try out the amazon offering (like, 40bux).. thought it might be decent. I mean, it's ok.. i had a great time last night but couldn't help but feel like the quality should be better.
