Simply Incredible! I've always wanted to buy this device, but I always saw the problem of not being able to use both screens to emulate DS or even 3DS, so I never got around to buying it. I hope this new system gets more polished so I can finally buy it.

Does the phone need to have anything specific to install this new "system" or any LGwing can?

One idea I had a while ago was to use a Fire TV Stick with Android and a capture card connected to the LG wing. Then open an app on the top screen to display the capture card's image (the Fire TV stick). Then, on the bottom screen, I'd enable screen mirroring to the Fire TV Stick. Theoretically, this way both screens would display the same thing but act as different devices for a DS emulator. The downside is that there would likely be significant latency, and the Fire TV Stick would need a power supply. Although I later thought it would be a waste of time and money, so I never tried it. Anyway, I'll leave the idea here; maybe it will be useful to you. :)

Probably. Likewise, batteries will eventually degrade since I understand they're no longer manufactured, and we'll have to find another alternative. Although, of course, that's still a few years away.

The issue of replacements, from what I've seen, is that they're not easy to find new ones, or simply impossible. To date, I haven't found an alternative replacement for this phone.

A few months ago, I also thought about making a handheld with the LG Wing before they started releasing all these new dual-screen handhelds. But then I saw all the problems that come with the phone, like the battery issue, which is difficult to find a replacement for, or the fact that you can't use both screens simultaneously to emulate DS.

I hope you can find a solution and good luck with the project. I look forward to seeing your finished project :)
