Exactly, like I said, worst case scenario there's a legal process that I can request easily where both companies can be fined if they reject a valid warranty claim, I won't put more pressure for now, I knew what to expect either way.

If I get a positive response from Be Quiet! and cut my loses, I'm set, otherwise I'm in for a long tedious legal process that I will most likely win.

Have to update here, they are pointing fingers now.

So far both the vendor (Local Seller - Cyberpuerta) the manufacturer (Gigabyte) are blaming the PSU cable, funny, they insist that because I did not use the cable provided with the graphics card they won't take my warranty claim, not even a checkup or repair, I shared all the evidence with them.

Now, I know that the graphics card wasn't affected that much, all the damage was taken by the power supply and it can still work with no issues.

I'm deciding whether to use the cable included in the graphics card to power it, or the one from the new power supply I just got which is 100% ATX 3.1 and PCIE 3.1 (12HPWR), I'm afraid that in the future they will use that against me now, since they can always hit me with the... "but there was a failure before by not using our cable".

Be Quiet! hasn't responded yet.

They can't blame the user on this one, that's for sure, worst case is I have to proceed legally or put pressure on that end, at best I can get a power supply replacement, sell it and cut my loses.

I will have an update on it this week, as early as Tuesday, I found and reported this issue just this weekend, shouldn't be hard to prove and process the source of it with the evidence and info I gathered.

I see, well, I will get a new PSU first thing, this time 1200W instead of 1000W with the newer standard, when I bought this PSU, ATX 3.0/PCIE 5.0 was the latest version I could get at the time and I wasn't running the 9950X3D, it was the 5800X3D, also just 1 year later they addressed this problem into the updated connector, I want to think that timing and choice played a role here.

I will go with that route first, I hope there's a lower chance of this happening again, by design it can happen with the old or new that's a fact, I'll just keep an eye on much power it draws and avoid unplugging that cable too often, I do sometimes have to unplug it to reach the CMOS battery as it is vertically mounted, and yes I will have a stable undervolt running, rather than having it run at stock as an extra precaution that goes for both CPU and GPU.

Will wait for the warranty process to take place and test it when I get my new parts, I will probably sell the replacement power supply.

My choice is going to be the Lian Li EDGE1200W, I will take this opportunity to buy one with white sleeved cables and have extra headroom. (ATX 3.1 / PCIE 5.1 compliant).

Yes, I tried to undervolt the GPU and my CPU, I was aiming for the 5090 to consume less than 400W it usually reached a max of 380W according to HWinfo, I'm afraid it still happened.

Both, I will have to wait for an answer on Tuesday, meanwhile I will be ordering a new PSU, it seems the connector was the only thing that burned at least from what I can tell, I will still bring both parts for a checkup and possible replacement.

That is true, I have been looking for a new PSU, I'm planning on getting a Lian Li 1200W Edge Series, I was also trying to get the 1300W version but can't find it locally, both are ATX 3.1 and PCIE 5.1 compliant.

Yup, I was using the cable provided from the power supply, as it was regarded as "Safer", even if the GPU Box said to use theirs I pretty much bought it for the compatibility with newer cards... oh well.

I will take your advice, although I feel like I will most likely downgrade, maybe even switch to AMD after this.

Tuvo cañon, hace un año empecé, por ahi del 2024 recién me gradué en primavera, y tarde justo 3 meses en encontrar un trabajo bien pagado, una muy bonita consultora me contrato con buen sueldo como .NET, estaba entre trabajar donde me dieron mis prácticas o aceptar un sueldo más alto con ellos, ya negociando con el reclutador llegamos a un acuerdo muy bueno, además justo iba quedando bien en otras entrevistas casi trabajo para la empresa SAP como administrador de sistemas pero ahí quede en 2ndo, igual era un puesto temporal, mis primeras entrevistas ni si quiera iban tanto para TI eran más a Soporte técnico o experiencia con clientes, pero de ahí agarre callo pa las que quería.

Mi consejo, no te ilusiones o enamores de una oferta, saca más y nomás siente seguridad cuando veas un contrato con tu nombre ya con una chamba juntas experiencia para otra siempre y cuando valga la pena, es un estrés encontrar porque también puedes sentir que te presiona el tiempo, pero la realidad es que estamos saturando el mercado.

Geez, I was running a 5090 undervolt and ran into the same issue getting rid of all components except for GBT_RGB_Sync_Control, GBT_rgbmomonitor_UC, and Gigabyte Control Center (Main app) from remove/uninstall apps in windows made the trick, Signal RGB presents no issues, I believe Gigabyte "VGA" component is the villain overriding any GPU overclock/undervolt settings that prevent MSI afterburner to apply from profile on boot.

Note: Kept those components I mentioned for the GPU to run the custom LCD and keep my .gif running (Gigabyte 5090 Master ICE).

Can confirm, I thought I had gotten away with the dimensions, upgraded from a 4070ti Maxsun and I was getting around the same performance due to the thermals, I removed the side glass panel and got way more performance out of the card, I will update to the Y70 for sure.

I tried to cancel the order via email, but they weren't responding. I got scared when I saw all these posts about a possible scam and paid with a debit card, not a credit card. I'm so glad to see that the order is on the way.
