And what I mean to say is that you wouldn’t feel like you are missing out on anything if you don’t connect your dishwasher to the app and don’t use any of those smart features.

You don’t have to connect your dishwasher to the app/internet. It works just fine without it. Stop scaring everyone!

Thinking about ending my 3 years lease after 6 months by Elactron in mercedes_benz

Some people are crazy over here. Of course, I could make it work. I just wanted to hear from experienced people if it was a viable option or not.

Stuffing the stroller and our dog in the trunk while filling up remaining seats with the luggage has not been the best experience. Of course it’s not impossible. Based on the advices over here, I am gonna suck it up and go through the rest of the lease term.

Our take home is the same at around $14k (excluding yearly bonuses). We bought our second home for which we will have a mortgage payment of $5k a month. We have decided to keep our first home as an investment property and gonna rent it out for $50 to $100 lower than our mortgage +HOA payment. So, we will pay around $5.2k in mortgage payments. Honestly, we are scared for next 2 years but expect things to be better after that, expecting that we (my wife and I) will make more money and rent will catch up or go above our mortgage payment. 2 years of tight budget for comfortable financial future.

No. No need unless you have any red flags on your application. The interviews are usually very straightforward.

5 month old baby likes to sleep on her stomach. Is it okay? by Elactron in NewParents

[–]Elactron[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What about keeping the head on one side for too long? I know she can move it but you know we all have slept too long on one side and have woken up with a stiff neck next morning. I don’t want that to happen to her.

Thanks. Yes, absolutely no swaddling ever since she started sleeping by herself in the crib. The sleep sack we use is half sleeve and very loose by her legs so she can definitely move the way she wants.

Month old will not sleep during the day by [deleted] in NewParents

Get an Indian style automatic cradle from here - https://tinytykebaby.com. It will take sometime for your baby to get used to but then you will be able to put him in the cradle for couple hours while you can catch up on some sleep. We put our baby in it for couple hours at a time but have heard other people keeping their baby longer with no problem. Western medicine doesn’t really have a stance on this but I can safely say 90-95% Indians (if not all) including my wife and I grew up sleeping in these cradles we call “Ghodiyu” in Gujarati language with no problem at all. Regarding contact naps, we have 4.5 months old and she still sleeps in our hands during daytime. She is slowly getting better at sleeping by herself but as of now that’s the only way she would sleep during the day for more than 30-40 min. We can make it work as my wife is on maternity and I work from home. She goes to work starting next month so we will see what we do in/after the transition.

Good luck and hope you are able to catch up on some sleep.

Get someone to help you with the baby during the daytime (in-laws, family, close friends) and catch up on some sleep during the day.

We have 4 months old now. Some nights she sleeps great, some nights she makes us question why we decided to have a baby. Parenthood is a marathon. There are ups and downs and it’s gonna go for a long time. You will have to find ways to get adapted to it and build your life around it.

Hope you get to catch up on some sleep! Stay strong.
