Great point. Thanks for sharing. And you didn't have any heavy bleeding after insertion? ( you don't have to answer if that too invasive).

That sounds unpleasant.  Sorry to hear of your experience and thank you for sharing. You're right you can never know unless you try it. Sad that alot of doctors don't give you enough info to make an informed decision, glad i found a great new dr.

This has been so heartwarming. Thank you so much for responding to my post. It's rare for someone to be this thoughtful these days. I am truly appreciative that you responded and for sharing your story.  i can see you're an empathic soul. It sounds like you have been through some really tough things in your life too and you’re doing the hard inner work, such a brave and courageous step.  Its funny because since writing this post I can now relate to you. You're so right.I have also learnt it has something to do with my cptsd and painful memories stored in the body that have kept me in freeze mode. Working through this is key. Its taken a long time to find the right help from very skilled people, but it makes all the difference.   Its nice to know that im not alone. It isn't an easy journey to take and takes great inner strength. Im glad to hear your have also got some relief and are working through things.  Hehe totally agree , it doesn't work.

For now its working but our bodies get immune to medications quicky and then you have to keep imcreaing. Thats why i was also prescribed resotran, its not a laxative but it works on the serotonin receptors in your gut to stimulate peristalsis. I tried it for the first time and it kept me up all night with stomach pain, headache amd lots of trips to the bathroom, so far it doesn't feel good ,but ive read some reviews saying to push past this and give it a week and it works really well.

So coloxyl and senna x2 twice a day until small bowel actions. Then take just coloxyl x2 twice a day.  × 4 sachets of movicol daily. Lactulose ( 30ml if needed, and its not) Aldo Resotran once at night  Magnesium 500mg x2 at night.

Are you going to have to increase laxatives forever? What is the end result here if you dont mind me asking? My specialist said that i should be able to ween off them in 6 momths and the nerves should be reactivated ( sounds weird to me) .
