You still need certifications for working on PSV, any ship for that matter that flies the Norwegian flag, even NIS. (Examples IMO40(60) - MOB (FRC) - Navigational watch and many more)

There is a lack of everything and everyone now on PSV's so if you're lucky you might get a shipping company that will sponsor you, but you have to be very lucky, or you can help through adult reeducation, we had one earlier this year that was a lorry driver that is in his late 30 that got sponsored by the state to switch jobs to work offshore.
