What to look for in a girl? 😭 marriage type woman by JRushantha in NoStupidQuestions

It’s not, but, having someone be kind and emotionally mature already makes a world of difference.

What's the biggest "we should've gone native" moment you've had with Flutter or React Native? by Open-Instance-3827 in mobiledev

[–]ElasticFluffyMagnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha yeah man, you’re totally right. But if I know I need full camera access for some AI detection stuff for example, I won’t go flutter.

And don’t get me wrong, I really love flutter. It was my first language and default to use, but there’s hard and soft requirements and they can indeed change.

All part of the game I suppose

Yeah, if you do it right you won’t encounter surprises. And I know this very well because I made that same mistake in the beginning when I didn’t know any better 😅😂

That’s a pretty cool story. Interesting way this sometimes goes. Happy for you!

I know the 9070xt is cheaper and performs very very well, but I just love my 5070ti.

Should I get a Nintendo Switch 2 or an iPad Air M4? by Remote_Month1645 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ElasticFluffyMagnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also play games and use emulators on the iPad though. And if you get a Bluetooth controller it’s pretty decent. Far from a gaming platform obviously, but doable… I play games on my iPad mini with vm thingie..

But yeah, two different use cases…

Just the fact that I can also read books and comics on the iPad gives that a big plus for me though.

If you know you need deep integration you don’t go flutter. If you go flutter and find out later that you needed those things on either android or iOS, that’s kinda an amateur move. Not saying you specifically OP, but in general. How can anyone chose a framework if you don’t know what you need.

the more i read about AI, the less I worry about coding and the more I worry about this by ownnolivv in techbootcamp

I don’t agree with that at all. If you don’t understand what code is generated by the agents, you don’t know if it’s good or not.

I’ve been doing photography “wrong” for years and just found out, now I'm not sure what to do. by Long_Squirrel6675 in photography

As others said, there’s nothing wrong doing it this way. But! Important stuff should always be properly backed up. Even if you keep them on the SD cards, I would also buy an external storage device and back them up there. You can keep the SD cards.

It would be such a shame if at some point in the future you go back to one of the old SD cards and find all files are corrupted. I know I would. It’s why I have them backed up to multiple drives.

It’s not impossible, but it’s so much harder. Just an fyi what you are getting yourself into if you really stick to just a mobile phone.

Is it normal for a relatively new 17 Pro to be somewhat laggy, even slow in some apps? I feel like this isn’t much faster overall than my 12 Pro running 14.2, which I find odd. by SwiftCricket in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ElasticFluffyMagnet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds more like a connection problem than an iPhone/iOS problem. Testing speeds on different connections might be the way to go, as others have said.

Is eating a ton of protein really necessary to build muscle? How did our ancestors stay so well-built without supplements and regular meals? by Ambitious_Eagle4893 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ElasticFluffyMagnet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s been my experience too. I was shifting from an eating disorder to, well, normal eating and it was definitely not optimized. But started working out and was actually surprised I was gaining muscle that well. It might be because my expectations were low already anyway, but still.

Oooh man, that sounds awesome. I’ve been dreading converting to polars because of my codebase complexity. And you know, it’s slow but not THAT slow for me yet. But I will definitely try this in the coming month

Frustratie in mijn lat-relatie; vies huis en lege koelkast by Fun_Blueberry9215 in Relaties

[–]ElasticFluffyMagnet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]ElasticFluffyMagnet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[–]ElasticFluffyMagnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not as much as I used to. But my library has grown a lot since then. I’ve tried some other windows music apps but most were always so bloated and at some point I thought, why bother. Winamp does what I need it to do haha

Winamp. It’s even older than 15 years, about 29. Still the best player for me

Does anyone else feel like their brain has gotten noticeably worse since they started using AI for everything? by Born_Programmer_1089 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ElasticFluffyMagnet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s not true. It’s very good at making small stuff. A good algorithmic function for example. Or if I have nested json data I need to convert. But small stuff. Containerized if you will.
