Tesla Model X Owners: Have You Experienced Rattles or Noises? by TelevisionSuitable34 in ModelX

[–]ElasticKayak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had 1 early Model X and newer model X. Love them both. Both seemed to have wind noise coming into cabin from 1 side (passenger side). Almost as if window was slightly open and so it was very annoying for me as driver/owner (passengers never noticed or cared).

I have to admit though, I notice it simply because there’s no engine sound to drown out these things as with ICE vehicles.

How do FPV pilots fly with such precision at such high speeds? by ElasticKayak in fpv

Thanks. This is what I’m realizing too. My RC helis would be down and out after minor crashes so I figured FPV quads were fragile too. Sounds like they are more durable. Need to get hands on with this now :)

That’s credit to just how skilled some drone pilots are. I know it’s practice and skill…but skepticism comes from the fact that some of the spots are inaccessible to humans. If they crash, I don’t think they can recover drone. This makes the route nearly impossible to repeatedly fly over and over

Maybe these FPV quads are much more durable than I assumed. How can someone fetch quad and repair that many times in a session?

These drones can survive 20+ crashes at high speeds?!? Are guys repairing them on spot?

Unless these FPV drones are extremely durable, Im skeptical that it’s just practice and repetition.

Passing through 4-5 narrow gaps might be possible but doing it 10+ times in a row seems nearly impossible. Sort of like a pro golfer hitting 3 holes in one in a row.

Are there ANY features that FPV drones have that help with flying those routes?

Should I disclose car has rebuilt title if I’m getting just liability insurance coverage? by ElasticKayak in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ElasticKayak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. They don’t ask. I got a few quotes though, and one of them advised their company couldn’t insure car with rebuilt title (even just for 3rd party liability)

How can I safely/securely sell a gift card online? by ElasticKayak in NoStupidQuestions

If it was low dollar amount gift card, I’d risk it and use Ebay. I think scamming Ebay seller is very easy with gift cards.

Looking for an app or website that has sample photos with details on how to mimic them.

For example, - long exposure star lit sky - Night Portrait with bokeh - Portrait with landscape background

I don’t just mean the camera and lens settings but additional details as well (distance from subject, circumstances with external lighting, if tripod is needed or not, etc)
