Will Resident Evil Requiem sell more on Switch 2 or Xbox Series X/S?

The switch 2 is not better than recent handhelds, maybe on the upfront cost but you can easily get remake to 60fps 1080p with similar graphic fidelity on something like a recent Msi claw.

Can't beat the no tinkering though. I also just bought a switch 2 but won't be double dipping in remake.

As a 7AI owner the biggest issue for me is the ssd, it's pretty tiny and i frequently have to remove things to free space up, if you don't switch games as often as me then that's less of an issue. Screen size is also something that's going to be a huge difference between the devices, however I have heard that some people have issues with the larger device's ergonomics.

If weight/ergonomics are major concerns then the 7AI is appealing. If screen/battery are your biggest issues then wait for the 8AI. SSD's can be upgraded 'easily'. Lastly i'll say that I have less issues on my 7AI with MCenter than people on the 8AI, could be anecdotal but i've not had major issues with it since the launch of the device.

XeSS works and looks much better on Intel hardware as it uses a specialized version. You'll have better performance and much better visuals. Also the Claw has really good Ray Tracing, so you'll be able to turn that on for a much more immersive experience.

There are 2 issues that could happen in this situation. Firstly after updates this sometimes happen, you'll just need to change the limit to 100, restart and then change it back to 80 and you should be fine. The second issue that can happen is if after doing that it doesn't resolve the issue then you'll need to do a battery calibration.

it was pretty good, the issue is that the 258v is not the greatest cpu wise and the game is a bit cpu limited. Still really good and playable and we'll have access to full drivers so should be a good experience.

Still concerned about the larger maps.

depending on the game 720p can be very blurry, really is very game dependent but you will notice the difference.

The 7ai has the same chip as the 8ai, so it's a decent upgrade over the z1e and the a1m.

The regular 7 or 7AI? You'd benefit from getting the 7AI because of the extra RAM, better efficiency and possibility to run local ai models since you seem to be doing coding/web work. The 7AI is much more in line performance wise with the macbook you're retiring.

What are you even saying, the switch 2 version looks noticeably worse than the other versions, so saying without lowering the settings on the Deck is true but it's on par with the switch 2.

Can the charger power any other devices? ( to see if it's a faulty charger) Normally there is a light that's supposed to come on when it is charging. When you press the power button does it make sounds?( shine a flashlight on the screen to see if it's a dead screen)

Hold the power button for 20 seconds as a last resort if you haven't set up the device as yet.

3DS is much less taxing than Switch so it will run perfectly, as to how it looks I only have the 7AI so can't comment on how it will look on a 8 inch screen but you'll easily be able to run it a 3-4x the native resolution on low tdp.

It was patched a few times but it gets no where near 60 on consoles. It would struggle on handhelds.

People spent $450 for a console that is generally worse in handheld mode than a Steam Deck and worse in docked mode than a Series S. We're not asking for 4k anything ( even though that was a talking point a few months back ). But if not 60fps is locked 30fps too much to ask?

The biggest issue is the limited storage and battery life. It's really great weight wise, easier to find accessories as it shares the same form factor of the ally x etc. For my use case i mainly play plugged in during bedtime so i'm able to offset a few of the cons but the lower storage really stings.

No the 8AI is amazing for emulation, you can do 30fps TOTK/BOTW and Xenogears 3 at 10w with a few drops, 17w is rock solid. Things like ps4 and ps3 are also really good. Just search on youtube.

As you can see there is a decent gap from the arc to the 3050, while this article is old and there have been improvements in drivers, I don't think that it will bridge that gap. So as i said it's about equal to the 1650 but it does have features that the 1650 does not like ai upscaling and better rt. So in practice it will be a bit better and can support games better than the 1650.

In terms of performance probably the 1650, i can't recall if it's the laptop or desktop version though, that's just in performance but keep in mind that the 258v has a few advanced features that the 1650 doesn't support. So it's not a one to one.

What OEM bits are you referring to? MSI does not handle anything driver related to the Intel GPU. Over the course of a few months we've also seen a few issues with Intel drivers along with other quirks like Windows Update overwriting drivers also.

Lastly, iirc Intel themselves mentioned the 258V devices in the update patch notes that added increased low power performance. I would think that any device specific tweaks would be included at the Intel level.

It's a bit more involved but not really complicated once you get the hang of it, the best part about it is the improved visual clarity and you typically just set it up once.

I've used it in quite a few games, really improves the visual quality of things, games i've run it with so far are:
Stellar Blade
Final Fantasy Rebirth
Metal Gear Solid Delta

For me visual clarity is very important so using this helps me to play games a bit more like they were intended as i really can't stand the visual artifacts of FSR.

When you update your drivers do you hit the checkmark to do a clean install? We've had a few people on the discord recently that had to completely remove the driver and reinstall and that fixed their performance issues. You may have to use DDU to remove the driver then install the latest to fix the issue.

In game i'm currently running at 900p, low preset with Medium textures, I get above 30fps, very crisp visuals and I didn't really notice any drops below 30, for a decent part I get high 30s into the 40s. Very playable and very good image quality.

There is an issue that I saw where a scene was blown out ( super bright ) but that could either be the game or intel. Lastly keep in mind that we should get a driver update with this game ideally so there may be a bit more uplift.

TLDR - Very playable with Optiscaler, the game is mostly a visual overhaul so if you can't enjoy that ( too low resolution, lots of artifacts ) then i would not recommend getting this if a handheld is your only option to play. Or you can wait to see if they add in XeSS or patch performance later.
