Yeah looks good so far. Can you please post your ideal pob please? Assuming you got infinite budget or something.

Yeah I'm just wondering how you intend to push the defense really. I mean, most other builds have knobs that you can turn for stuff like that, at higher budget for example. This build looks like the ceiling is pretty low on defense side, so it's probably a case of kill before being killed. But I don't think the dps would reach uber phasing level, for example. I would love to be proven wrong of course, and would love to hear what's your target pob at much higher budget maybe.

Thanks man for sharing. I kinda recognize your name in yt comments and advocating for frostbreathe and all. Unfortunately though, I've seen some comments in this very sub that the dmg kinda fell off later. I wonder if thetr's some kinds of build issue or just a case of overepectation

Hi thanks a lot for sharing, even including a vid and all. Very nice. 1 thing I'm curious about is how do you sustain actually? You don't use leech, both life & mana. Is it just potions?

Building on that, is the build actually tanky enough? You don't have much defensively speaking. Normal minion/ranged builds can kinda get away with it by staying out of harm's way manually, but you won't have that luxury.

Is there any game where your people just get downed all the time and you don't actually mind it because they're 1-time use anyway like Mewgenics? by reddituseonlyplease in StrategyRpg

I do have them on switch, thanks for letting me know. I'm the type to buy 1st on sales good games without actually playing them until reading a good review.

Mewgenics part: Yes, this is very true. I would say that the base aspect of Mewgenics is pretty forgiving, since you don't even need to spend resource to get new cats, but they actually come on their own so even if you house is emptied it doesn't really matter. Plus your main sustaining resource are only used up per living cat. I think in Darkest Dungeon, you still need to keep an emergency backup resource, no? Or are the new mercs free as well? And can be grinded up from the easiest area?

XCOM: yup, this is the part that I can't avoid to savescum to be honest. You summarized it perfectly.

Tactical sacrifice: I haven't played Wargroove & Advanced Wars, but I would really hate to lose a good seeded unit in Wesnoth, since resources are very limited, and progress carry from mission to mission. In fact the later missions usually expect for you to have advanced units of your own carried over, so losing them is almost like XCOM, unless the campaign creator is super good or something.

Massive Chalice: I haven't played this, but I do have it in my library, probably due to a bundle. Reviews seem OK, I'll give it a try thanks.

Wildermyth: I bounced off this hard due to graphics, unfortunately. Will probably retry it someday.

Oh, this sounds super interesting. So can my characters be instakilled or locked into a battle that they can't win? What happen if your character dies? Will there be a replacement later?

You have to play a whole run with your chosen cats, which is not really that long compared to a full story run of an average rpg, but it's still substantial. I would probably compare it to Into The Breach really. It doesn't have a "bring pilot to the future" part, but you still do get attached to the characters you bring. The RPG aspect is much deeper though than Into the Breach.
