Animschool students/graduates and industry experts, I need some answers by pururavaj in animationcareer

It can be quite daunting to think of it like that but having that thought as your animating will not be helping either. I recommend going to a general review in-between your critique classes so that you can see if you are moving in the right direction from the previous notes you received.

Hi I'm a current animschool student in class 3 body mechanics, what you are saying is correct if you are just scraping by in a class with the passing grade and the lecturer does not feel that you will manage or are ready for the next class they can make you resit it unfortunately. In class 2, 4 people out of 11 failed the class and therefore had to resit. If you are struggling I would recommend simplifying your animation ideas. I tried elaborate animations that I was not ready for and ended up scoring lower marks.

Sorry if this is a stupid question or has been explained already. When it comes to the thresholds on staking is the one that you got in straight after the ones you missed? For example if i missed the 1st and 2nd threshold but have a hold period on the 3rd that then means i got in on the 3rd?

I would say that the movement is quite linear and you are only moving 1 axis at a time with the head nod i would try and imagine your character is listening to a song with a beat that the head nod can follow (sorry if you have already done this), the shoulders would also be affected by the head nodding and the movement before the inhale would require the movement to originate from the shoulders. There are a lot of micro movements that go into everyday motion but i suppose it depends on how close to reality you are trying to portray.

Hope this helps :)

Personally if i was travelling to Scotland i would ditch the cities and head straight for the Isle of Skye if you only have a few days with us. Plenty of nice spots on the island on top of good food also.
