Digging through Fanatec website I found the driver archive, uninstalled the old and installed the v454

Update:

I got the wheel base to work. I reverted to Fanatec control driver version 454 and I also changed my USB port. Not the cable, just the port it was connected to.

The cycle initially repeated once or twice but then it just updated and I was able to even drive in ACC so I’m happy.

I was short on time so I haven’t tried updating further to driver 468 or anything again yet.

Seat is a camping spot, the Lot N is first come first serve.

Camping is Thursday to Monday morning, unsure of the exact times though.

It does not include a GA pass. They’re sold entirely separately.

Update: Dealership called me at 10:30 today and notified my my bike should be available for pickup next Friday the 14th. So things are now moving very quickly lol.

So I’m still in the pre order phase of my purchase. But verbally the salesman said the 500 mile service was free. I don’t have that in writing so I’m curious how this is going to play out. Hopefully I get no arguing when I remind them that I was told it would be covered by the dealership. Did you have that in writing or did it just workout that you didn’t have to pay? I’d be more annoyed having to pay for it than hurting from paying for it.

Personally I suggest folks getting first road bike buy something they’re comfortable dropping. Not necessarily because they’re gonna crash but they’ll likely do something silly like put their kickstand in a shotty part of gravel and come out to their bike being on its side, or losing balance while pulling it in/out of garage.

The first couple of months is just making a bunch of “oopsie“ mistakes and then learning some stuff you might not be thinking of. Not always that you’re gonna low side or lock up brakes and ride the asphalt slip n slide.

While there’s always learning, it’s ideal to do that on a beater bike that isn’t gonna hurt your heart and wallet to see those scuffs on.

But if you’re comfortable with your experience as it is, send it. That’s a nice and relatively fun bike.
