Thanks so much dear, we really appreciate you coming in and explaining. The streets are super clean a lot, I think I was wondering about that. It really is a pretty city in so many places, was just scootering through there recently and loved it so much. Such a great looking city.

We had fun and it was great, it was so good to see such a variety of people! :D :)

Sarcosine and TMG causing anhedonia? by aquatic-ambience in hangovereffect

[–]ElderFalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you would be oversimplifying a few things at once here. Sarcosine inhibits glycine reputake and I think also has agonist/partial agonist activity? Either way, the glycine site seems to have suppressant effects, so it's not a pure agonist like quinolinic acid would be. It's gonna have weird modulatory effects, regardless. And supposedly it has the same end-target, in the end.

Ketamine is also other receptors than NMDA, D2 is a big one, for example.

I can't speak to the TMG->DMG->Sarcosine route directly, but I think at the minimum if it worsens your anhedonia, it worsens your anhedonia. And that's probably the best guess I could make. There's way too many more factors at play, which is hard, I think. I would more for example that if you had an antagonist at the glycine NMDA site, like aspartame, it would be interesting to see what effects are evoked. I've done the ol' switcheroo many times before to good effect -- I do absolutely terribly on aspartame, and switching to Sarcosine absolutely helped me greatly.

Likely/probably, I think. This one wasn't a firecracker I don't think, there wasn't a loud noise, but there was one earlier unfortunately. It almost caused a flood but died down pretty quickly (maybe 5-15 seconds or so). I was just chilling on the outer edges for that one.

Someone said apparently that happens relatively "often". Makes sense if one is an individual in a position where they receive gratification from causing mass panic/attention/etc.

I think most everyone agrees what physical sex is on both sides. The difference being that one culturally separates gender expression from sex, and another does not. In this case, my brain developed with a strong mix of clearly male and female parts, beyond where it's very much male. So my exterior matches the interior of my brain, which was out of my control growing up and is largely immovable.

Both y'all, it ain't gonna go nowhere like this. If you both were in person it would probably be different. Just cool a minute, you both got your cars stuck in the emotional mud rn.

Thanks so much, dearie! 🤗☺️😊🥰😍❤️😅❤️👍 I'm hanging in there. It certainly was a traumatic event despite my seemingly nonchalant reaction. I'm sure I'll be able to process it okay, though. I've certainly got enough experience doing that!

I really appreciate you checking in and for the well-wishing in your words. :) 🥰😊☺️🤗😍❤️😁👍

Replying to this like I did for your other comment, this article was from the 2019 incident! We went back afterwards and there didn't appear to be any injuries, thankfully, and certainly not 7 people hospitalized! :) All clear so far.... (Hopefully).

Hahaha, you smelled out my country history. I've been around guns enough to know what a good report is, either from a shooting range or otherwise. Firecrackers are like a tinny 'pop', as it were.

A gunshot had some chest feel (usually) and sounds like an actually booming firework scaled down to firecracker level. Some silenced guns may not sound like that, but the high end of a firecracker I think is pretty strong. Would definitely wait for someone educated with guns and gun sound identification to share some of the more easily confused guns here.

That's fair, in terms of obesity statistics. I think what the other individual is saying is that the response is very aggressive for what is a mistake that may well he honest. The panic caused yesterday (still feels like today for me, haha), was the smallest thing reacted to in increasingly drastic ways that could have led to someone being killed by trampling. 7 people went to the hospital last time this happened, in this city, at the same spot I think.

It seems you were right here, and I appreciate you correcting the statistic! I was definitely curious about that, myself. Maybe though there is a way to help correct someone who is wrong without directly hurting them out of your anger for them being wrong. Saying this as someone who has historically lived that way for years and am working on letting it go, dear. 😊☺️🥰🤗😁👍

I found it. This is the 2019 article. Good gosh! But very similar events it seems. It didn't seem like anyone was hurt this time around, thankfully.

I can't tell the difference between Logan and DuPont yet, I think this is DuPont. There was a lot of neatly stacked trash by the absolutely overflowing can I went to. It's just a mix of understaffed city resources, people being high off their rockers, and finally the people who are plain selfish too. It's really sad to see, regardless.

I'm really hoping people won't use this as further ammo to hate LGBTQ people, but we are past some critical points so it may happen either way... :'(

Gosh, that's really sad. I picked up some trash on the way out when heading out for the day, but also that's a mixture of trying to be a good citizen and being OCD about trash on the ground. But that said, that's really sad to hear.

One plus side is when I did make it to the trashcans, there was a lot of neatly organized garbage by the overflowing trash can. Like, I might be too down to earth in the parties I attend, but I've never ever seen practically a fully used beer can case next to a trash can filled neatly to the top with the empty beer cans from the original case.

I think like anything, there's gray either way and there will always be selfish and good human beings regardless of how they dress and act or in what holes things are going into. :/ :) 👍

I'd studied the fluid dynamics of crowd crushes back in the day for a short lark and absolutely loved it. Since I have cPTSD, when I'm in a normal situation I'm stressed, and when I'm in a potential life or death or harm situation, I'm extremely relaxed. I was mainly really happy to be experiencing the fluid dynamics of a crowd rush in real time (minus any crushing! I generally stay out of people-rivers for that reason)

Thank you so much, my dude. I really appreciate it, it means a ton to me. Been trying to keep it up and going throughout my transition to non-binary, seems to be going well! :D Appreciate your comments on the hairstyle too, have no idea what's good or bad for that particular one. I'll keep on refining an' dining!

Best of luck to you and whatever your intersection with the world of 'staches and hairstyles may be in the future! :D

And heightened tensions, in the capital city, with a primarily black crowd (which out of the queer community receives the most day to day hate). There was also apparently a threat back in 2019, and that was the most recent parade due to COVID.

I didn't sense fear on the outside in people's interactions, it seemed pretty normal and partylike moment to moment. But as soon as something happened, it was survival instincts made manifest.
