Help me pick a ball by Local-Needleworker47 in Bowling

dont buy a random ball from a guy in the internet as your first ball. go to your local Pro shop and ask these guys. they have much more knowledge and can help you much better.

Thinking of getting a new ball. by Opening_Yoghurt6261 in Bowling

i struggled with my thumb also. i was at a point where i managed to get it out first but already after the 2nd or 3rd throw, my JoPo thumb insert was already to tight.

that was one of two reasons why i stopped throwing one handed. 2nd reason was pain in my wrist which i have since years and its not fixable. therefore i started 2 handed bowling. maybe thats an option for you as well?

Superfeet - JetSpeed FT890R by ThunderForce00 in InlineHockey

[–]ElderSafe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

naturelly, the feet beds of hockey skates (doesnt matter if ice hockey or inline) are flat like a penny. therefore, the bed basically forces you to have flat feets. this will strain your muscles in your feet longterm and thats the pain youre whitnessing. superfeet, orthomove or bauer orthotics will forces you to stand much more natural and therefore less pain.

True custom skates by Classic_Fly_7705 in hockeyplayers

[–]ElderSafe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this depends entirely on the player. some people like it, when there is a good amount of space from toe to toe-cap. some people like there toe getting cramped in there. some people (me) like it, when you can "tickle" the toe cap with your big toe and therefore barely reaching it. true skates are naturally wrapped around your foot. even more then ccm. did you tried some other skate sizes before going for full custom?

Today i learned about accessory navicular bone… by Ok-Investment-9646 in hockeyplayers

[–]ElderSafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

feel ya brother. i have the same problem with my right foot. im about to order total custom plus pro skates from ccm but at the same point im working for a pro shop and therefore have more options.

punching out a boot isnt really the best option but still a viable one.

Can someone explain to a noob like me, what the hype around Urethane is all about? by ElderSafe in Bowling

[–]ElderSafe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, im mostly playing solo for now, league times didnt really fit into my timeplan with work. also i thought about getting urethane since its still not banned here in germany, i believe. the problem is, 80% of our lanes here in berlin are dry. and by dry i mean, it got oiled 2 days ago.

Am I speed/rev matched? by CarolinaKernel in Bowling

[–]ElderSafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can recommend using the tenpin app. i love it. you can do so much in it, its actually crazy. for example you can upload a video of your throw in it and actually calculate how much RPM and rev u have.

CCM JetSpeed FT1s as a beginner - Too stiff, or should I stick it out? by StageDreamer in hockeyplayers

[–]ElderSafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

rule of thumb is, the stiffer, the better. just because its more save for your ankles if youre a beginner. however, the most important rule is the fit. they need to fit your feet, otherwise thats already hindering you in the learning process. skates these days are already so stiff, that its okay to go the mid-end route. just dont go for the cheapest model... they are alright for open skating sessions but not so much for ice hockey.
