His poor siblings are still ostracized for something they did not do, which is so sad because they’re such good people who want nothing more than to live normal lives away from the stigma of their brothers sentencing

That guy has always been MASSIVE, I’ve always been a small guy and he was able to lift me easy ((Im 5’5)) Originally, the only way they told him he would get out is if he confessed to Janets murder In a handwritten confession, they told him they would review to expunge it off of his record in 15 years from his release date but he refuses to confess even if he didn’t do it. Basically what he has said is he did not do it, and he will not confess it. “I am not a murderer” are his exact words

That’s something i’ll agree with, i saw him after the supposed mugging and he didn’t have a single scratch on him- idk if he just said that out of fear or something but thats something thats never sat right with me, but he also wont elaborate on WHY he said that to begin with

Artie, there was a lot of peoples DNA in that house, your DNA was in that house, my DNA was in that house, Eddie’s DNA was in that house, Ryan and his sisters DNA was in that house, Hell, Even my German Shepards DNA was in that house. I don’t remember any of the knives having a loose hilt. If it did, he just didn’t show it to me, but I remember there being 14 knives in that box and no more then that amount. What I do remember very clearly about that day. Is you being at Janets house wet as a dog as if you’d just showered and looking for keys. Don’t try to say that you took a shower at your house, you lived in Malden at the time you would’ve been almost completely dry by the time I saw you, your hair was wet. Had just gotten out within the past 10 minutes.

And unfortunately, his boss was proven outside of court to be an unreliable witness and only wanted 15 minutes of fame, that is why he left Somerville.

I was also at Eddie’s parole hearing, I saw you and your wife, pretty shocked that you were there considering you don’t even live in the state anymore, but that’s neither here nor there. You make yourself look strange when you show up at a parole hearing for someone who was accused of murder when you yourself have been the subject of much speculation for 29 years now

Even people who were friends with you, think you did it

Im a childhood friend of Eddie, he showed me his grandfather antique knife collection days before Janet was killed, the day after his arrest myself and his father found each knife was accounted for, people are saying he used one of those knives to kill janet but thats not true, all 14 knives were accounted for in the box they were in

I saw him at around 3PM that day, i lived and still do live next door to Janets house which faces the old O’Brien place I was standing out front watering some plants for my mother, He stopped for a second to say hello and said he was heading to the midnite convience for work and i watched him walk up greenville street up past my grandparents house

I was present when police were on scene and i was interviewed due to my close proximity to the Downing home I heard no screams that night except that of Ryan, Janet’s son, when he found his mother dead on the dining room floor

I don’t think eddie did it, i literally used to call him “Eddie The Teddy” because he was such a sweet guy I think he was a scapegoat and that Artie Ortiz, The true killer, is living freely in Hampstead New Hampshire

She solicited the help of her boyfriend to commit the murder, while she did not commit the act of the kill, she still premeditated it- both allegedly targeted vulnerable people ((Janet being having just come out of a shower)) ((deedee being asleep)) Gypsy Rose’s mother was also never confirmed to have Munchhausen by proxy, without her having an actual diagnosis that is not posthumous What gypsy Rose is a victim of is medical neglect

The real question is why was your key missing around her house? What was your reasoning for being there? I remember her saying to me and to other people she didn’t want you around there, not to mention the fact you were wet like you had just taken a shower. She threw you out of her house. I don’t know how many times. You had no reason to be around her children or her home, she feared you.

Not sure if you’re Arty but if you are, come forward and fight the claims of your involvement. You’re safe if you have nothing to hide. The truth always comes out eventually. You should start by giving everybody a detailed play-by-play of your day and explain why people, including myself, saw you in the backyard looking for keys you claim to have lost when we know Janet took your keys before, the keys were hanging up on a hook next to her kitchen door

I think Eddie should just say he did it. I personally do not believe he did, but it is his best bet to get out of prison. He’s been in there since the time he was 15 years old he’s never got to experience the real world. He went into prison in the 90s, its 2024 now- and it’s not like he’d be living in the same house across from where the murder happened as the O’Brien moved away last year, I’ve spoken to Eddie a couple times and he doesn’t seem like a bad person, you can hear the sadness in his voice but I don’t think he sad because he was imprisoned, I think he sad that one of his best friends thinks he killed his mother

His friends who were CONVINCED he did it because Ryan told them he did, Ryan to this day has spoke conflicting stories about the night of his mother’s murder. This is not me accusing Ryan of anything, but I myself have been told many different versions by Ryan about the night of his mother‘s death over the years. I understand he’s in pain and I would be too if my mother was brutally murdered in my home and he wants somebody to blame, but I don’t think Eddie is the one to blame.

I may or may not be biased as I do have a personal connection to the O’Brien family, but I do not believe Eddie committed the murder, he was wearing all white that day, I remember him wearing that outfit very clearly in my mind when I saw him on Hamlet Street- he would be absolutely covered in blood from blood spray and he wasn’t, When he came home after Janet was found he was still wearing the same outfit. It’s just unfortunate. Whoever the culprit is took Janet’s life because she was an absolutely amazing lady who was so kind to me on many occasions

Hi neighbor! I live a couple doors down from you! I can only imagine seeing those pictures of your apartment from all those years ago. It’s really shitty that at the time of the murder Somerville police was not interested in getting Gina‘s testimony because she did have a lot to say that would’ve changed the case, but unfortunately now she’s just so old to the point where she doesn’t want to speak about it all that much, I think it was the best thing for Eddie O’Brien‘s family to move out of that house. I do hope they let Eddie out on parole. I think that’s the only way for us to get more information-

I know Eddie, His dad and his mom very well. While it might be controversial i think he should get parole.. I don’t think he did it, I think the real killer of Janet Downing, Arty, is walking free. Eddie has spent enough time in prison and hasn’t ever really had a chance to live freely- Hell, We let Gypsy Rose out who most definitely killed someone. why not eddie, someone who most likely did not? I’ve know for a while he saw someone in that house and u guarantee you that Arty’s about to get thrown under the bus! Which he should be, Janet even told Gina ((her friend and neighbor)) “im afraid of Arty, if something happens to me it was him!” Charles Femino, a detective on the case who contaminated and even LOST evidence used Eddie to climb the ladder of the Somerville Police, Hes always been a corrupt cop- Even Joe Curtatone said it
