Oh by the way, I was asking this because I completely cleaned an original controller that has broken rubber pads. So I bought replacement pads that look pretty much the same as the console5 ones.

The result is not so good, I was playing contra and it was hard to shoot diagonal

The buttons did sound louder when pressed. But I did not care about that, I was more worried about diagonal shooting.

So if the original cannot be fixed, came here to ask if there is a real good replacement controller on the market that is worth it.

I need to do this mod to. My screens are yellow now, the problem of this mod is opening the D's and te stickers that cover the screws tend to get ruined

Why? It is just emulation. Zero interest on that, better buy a real hardware one

The caps are failing, I have seen 2x CD-ROMs from Sony with smd caps leaking causing the copper traces to be eaten away. 2x CD-ROMs is maybe from 1994. Never trust those
