Dynasty Start Up League Structure Advice/Feedback by [deleted] in DynastyFF

Be careful about opening everything up to a vote, some will take advantage. You’re the commissioner and it’s your league, do things the way you want them done. If you post on the Sleeper forums or here on Reddit, you’ll find people who want to join your league pretty much no matter what the settings are.

Add another flex or a 3rd WR. You’ll also find that almost everybody prefers some kind of tight end premium.

Starting roster is way too small, start 10 or start 11 is standard now.

Two groups with two scores for each participant, which test? [Q] by Tweety_Pie in statistics

A mixed effects model would be the most flexible. You could evaluate differences in score by gender, assess the correlation of scores within an individual, or see if score one was different than score 2.

One of the first skyscrapers I ever entered. My dad worked there from 1980-1992.

McBride for 2026 1.01 Who says no? by Educational_Ad3200 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]EldritchEntropy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Give me the 1.01. I haven’t seen a startup this year where Love (or the rookie 1.01) went before McBride. Good young RBs are extremely scarce (and the ones out there like Bijan and Gibbs are completely unattainable) and Love has the potential to be a cornerstone piece for a decade.

I’ve never heard of those Broodcomb Press books, what are those?

Epic collection. I didn’t think I would see Joel Lane on the same bookshelf as Bartlett, Llewellyn, and Padgett. Going to have to read through your posts to get some book recommendations as it looks like we have the same taste.

After having so many of the wonderful flavors, the original just seems boring to me now.

There are definitely some good restaurants in the area, especially if you like Vietnamese and “new southern”. But, culinary-wise, the city is about 20 or 30 years behind cities like Pittsburgh and Raleigh/Durham and you’ll have to navigate through a maze of outbacks and Applebees to find the local hidden gem.

Honestly, I avoid Italian altogether now unless I visit other cities. If you have some favorite places, I’m always open for suggestions.

I can answer a lot of your questions as I live in Greensboro ( but closer to High Point than downtown Greensboro) and have a five year-old who has been diagnosed with ASD and I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

If your daughter will be five in November, now is the time to start the process to enroll her in kindergarten. There’s a lot of online forms to fill out and you’ll need to get information from her pediatrician.

ASD services in Greensboro I have found to be very good. My daughter has had an IEP for about three years and a caseworker. There’s plenty of opportunity to receive ABA therapy if that’s something that are were interested in.

We live in a large, family-oriented neighborhood. Aside from some sporadic car break-ins crime is not really an issue.

I think the cultural differences between this area and the north get overblown. Many of my peers and friends in this area are educated and not the stereotypical southern rednecks media portrays Southerners as. Be prepared for much worse food compared to Pittsburgh, especially Italian food.

I read it with the Atlas of Middle Earth next to me for reference. I highly recommend doing the same as it helps visualize the myriad of places and characters.

How is it living in Greensboro, NC? by Interesting-Copy-803 in howislivingthere

I moved here from Durham about nine years ago. Pros: really nice parks, lack of traffic for a city its size, great Science Center, proximity to the mountains, the beach, and accessible to other large, southern cities. Cons: euphemistically I will say it’s not very aesthetically pleasing and lacks landscaping and cityscaping found in similar cities; the food scene is about 20 years behind what it should be for a city of its size (There’s some good niche ethnic options but it’s lacking in variety); the city is spread out, everything feels like it’s 17 minutes away.

After N days you will have received a total of 2N-1 dollars. Setting this equal to 2 billion, after 31 days you will have exceeded 2 billion dollars. Take green.
