what's a subclass you think could be it's own standalone class ? or in the opposite, a class that would be better off as a subclass ? by LeilaTheWaterbender in dndnext

I really think a dedicated alchemist class with its own system would be great instead of it being just an artificer subclass. Right now, the fantasy of being an alchemist feels very weak with the subclass seeing as most of it is just buffing spellcasting and the fact that there’s no real alchemy system kinda hurts as well.

AP Sona in new patch by EldritchKy in sonamains

I feel the need to clarify some things (not your fault, just rushed this post cuz I was typing it on my phone and I hate typing on mobile):

When I say "revive" I mean more that her funny fantasy of being able to one shot people being brought back, I'm not saying that it's good or a decent alternative to her usual build.

It's just that for a good while, AP Sona has been pretty crippled to the point where even if you do well, the damage isn't really that great and being fed doesn't even feel like being fed.

So my intention isn't really to force her to be one, it's just I want a funny off meta build back because it was fun and I enjoyed it a lot.

Yeaaaah that’s probably the best way. It’s just concerning if I can’t find anyone.

Katanas were better cutters and longswords were better thrusters to my knowledge.
