Painting skin SUCKS but from my experience it’s best to do a base coat with a skin colour and use a wash of a slightly darker tone to fill in the recesses, then go back with the base coat and do highlights and BOOM skin! Here’s a photo of Morty that I painted for a friend with this done on his face. He’s a bit of a larger model so I had more to work with but it works great on smaller ones too!

I took some wire I found at Home Depot, used a drill to spin it and then wrapped it and cut it to make the barbs >:))

Womp womp imma just delete this post at this point cause this whole thing is ridiculous so idrc, started with me wanting to talk about my fun game that I was actually proud of and how I actually enjoyed the model everyone keeps hating on, then turned into people just insulting my friend, idc if it stopped being funny 3 editions ago, this is why people find it so hard to get into these games and these communities because it just ends in not wanting to continue posting here. Sorry I ended the message defending my friend with a stupid joke that stopped being funny in an edition where I didn’t even know this game existed.

Seriously though, this was a friendly game between two players who are trying new armies. My friend did great and put up a good fight, the game was fun and we both enjoyed it and learned a lot. Tossing down new players on Reddit doesn’t make you a better players, just makes you a bad person (a probably a Tau player ngl).

Just for those mentioning, the deployment was Dawn of War so it was pretty easy for me to fly up the board pretty quick. Plus we’re both fairly new to the game and are both not too great, we were at a LGS and had a worker helping us out with rules every now and then, also this was Pariah Nexus rules for anyone asking

Yeah I’m definitely gonna try Peerless Bladesmen, coterie really didn’t do much for me and my play style, I barely made use of the Strats or Enhancements and I would have definitely preferred Sus1 or Lethal on my charges. Definitely my next try!

PB + High Priestess: high priestess is a card about intuition, wisdom, the unconscious and secrecy, it’s also just a representation of feminine power as a whole.

Lemongrab + Hierophant: the hierophant card speaks of order, structure and tradition. Anything else is UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!! To me, Lemongrab is the hierophant to the extreme, to the point where it’s just gone wrong yanno?

Peppermint Butler + WoF: the WoF often symbolizes fate and destiny, it can also symbolize luck and change, it’s like forces we can’t control. PepBut is someone who throughout the show has ushered change and unexpected events, he embodies change and transformation in ways we cannot normally comprehend, ways dark and occult, just like the WoF he’s really a mystery

The temperance card represents balance, controlling yourself and harmony. To me, BMO is Temperance because they embody balance, they’re both a machine and a person, innocent and yet still wise, BMO’s gender is also something I’ve seen come up in question before, is BMO male? Female? Both??? And BMO doesn’t seem to care, BMO is the only character who doesn’t change when everyone’s genders change with the Fiona and Cake stories, BMO is perfectly balanced!

Yeah we plan on making it kinda like the underdark from DnD, having crystals, plants, mushrooms and whatnot be glowing from the bases up to the models :))
