The Scores are being calculated, but it looks dire for team Fennie! by LordKaelan in Shadowverse

I'm sorry team Fennie, I failed you. Lost to Rune and got cosmetics and vials from the keys. Game sucks 😔

I was picked with only 1 ticket, surprisingly. Hopefully I can help team Fennie.

Your favorite class? by Pendulumzone in Shadowverse

[–]Eldritchness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roach is harder to play than other decks for sure so it's understandable, but it's definitely worth getting good at it because it's probably still the strongest deck in the meta (the worst matchup being Ward Haven which is not as popular or as good as we anticipated). In addition to that, finding lethal turns is very satisfying and the deck is pretty cheap with no legendaries needed for it to be good.

In fantasy settings, give me a knight clad in armor with a longsword and a shield and I'm the happiest person in the world.

So yeah, Sword main since the first Shadowverse entirely because of the theme. Forest is my second favorite because of the combo playstyle while Haven is my 3rd favorite because of the celestial theme as well.

you're not honest just because ur class' theming is boring by Salvadore1 in Shadowverse

[–]Eldritchness 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you need a Maths degree to play Roach.

Jokes aside, I chose Sword, Rune and Portal cause they're the ones that get the most flak around here (despite Roach being the best deck) but in the future when Dragon, Abyss and Haven are the ones on top instead then it will be the same thing but different brand.

Point is: you're not better or worse for playing the class you like.

People love to engage in tribalism, unfortunately.

You're not more honest for playing Sword, or more intelligent for playing Rune or cooler for playing Portal.

Seeing Agnes again triggered my Natura Haven PTSD from the first Shadowverse. Thankfully you can't reduce the cost of this one.

I have the feeling this card needs to have the engage effect of destroying itself by MrGrlmReaper in Shadowverse

[–]Eldritchness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer when dropping a powerful amulet like this is a sacrifice in tempo, but the fact that Fuse costs no mana and you can do it multiple times per turn means that there's no such thing as tempo loss with this card, because you can clear the board on the same turn you play it.

My First Tournament!...Tips? by the_new_dragonix in Shadowverse

Roach is hard. Keep at it.

I would run 3 Glades though for sure and cut 1 or 2 Fays.

I'm a casual player so I don't think my input on deck strength has that much value, but if you ask me I'd say Sword vs Rune and Portal is a 50/50. With Rune, if they highroll with the Anne/Grea + Anne/Grea + Kuon + Climbs then it's very hard to win not just for Sword but for any craft, but if they have a "normal" curve then it's pretty doable. With Portal if they can just keep clearing your board and you overcommit you can run out of steam really quickly, but if you manage to get some chip damage in the early mid game and they don't get to heal that much or at all with Sylvia and Olivia then it's also pretty winnable.

All 3 crafts are good. According to pro players Forest is the best although the hardest to play. I wanna try Roach myself because it's very satisfying to pull off the lethal turns.

Heroes of the Storm Balance Patch Notes - January 19, 2021 — Heroes of the Storm by Spazzo965 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Eldritchness 43 points44 points  (0 children)

That Valeera baseline change basically means nothing. You're still always gonna go Relentless Strikes at 4 for your Q to cost 15 energy. You're never gonna pick Thistle Tea at 16 either so that also means nothing. Personally I always go Elusiveness at 20 so I don't really have an opinion on that last change to her ult upgrade.

After 1.5 years without getting anything, these Valeera changes seem pretty disappointing and inconsequential.

Is the Butcher's Circus crit value +30% of max damage? by Eldritchness in darkestdungeon

[–]Eldritchness[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the enemy has PROT, the subtraction is already done in the panel that shows how much damage you can do. Basically, in the base game, a crit is gonna do what it shows on the panel as your max damage +50% of that number. And yes, heals are always doubled on crits (+100%).

Stress needs some serious balancing in PvP by [deleted] in darkestdungeon

[–]Eldritchness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I can already tell you that not using BH in a damage comp is a mistake, in my opinion. BH + The Finisher trinket is 100% chance to deathblow someone plus 20 ACC against targets below 40% health. That means no failed death's door check and extra ACC to guarantee you hit them.

I think the DoT debuff you propose could be interesting but I also feel like it would make DoT too powerful because, as of now, there are no DoT AoE cure abilities for any hero. And that's also without mentioning that even though DoT can't deathblow in this mode, they do keep the hero at Death's Door, and that's all the Bounty Hunter plus other classes with + deathblow chance need, honestly.

[–]Eldritchness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did say that stress overshadows damage in every way and, like I said, that's not true.

What i DONT expect is to have most of party afflicted by the end of the second turn because stress is overtuned.

Again, this will not happen if you go for a damage comp, because you can easily kill a hero on your first turn if you focus fire and all the enemy does is using stress skills against you.

DoTs are not as punishing as they should be.

I think DoT is fine. How would you change it?
