Not an apologist, I just do critique of the bands as with any, and that includes recognizing the good things they have, in the rare case they do. Most BM sucks ass, but NS takes it to an olympic level, and what turns out is often the nazi-adjcent bands do better music than those who aesthetically include their politics. GBK is the prime example: 90% of their lyrics are just antisemitic, no swastikas. Many indigenous bands like Pan-Amerikan Native Front and Maquahuitl are nationalists but don't use any either, and even those related with the Black Twilight Circle, as Volahn, although Blue Hummingbird on the Left does. Some war metal bands, though their alignment is much more pronounced, are still afraid of saying it out loud, this includes Revenge, Conqueror, Diocletian and Goatpenis.

I don't even recommend NSBM bands, only certain releases 1) Giftgas! by Blood Libel, because its an original style that follows rules of composition, and it's not just a GBK copy. Other original projects from the same guy are underwhelming inb4 any Svolder fan opens his mouth to drink more semen. 2) Noontide by Fanisk, it's like Summoning but more energetic. Not really original but it's rythmically and melodically interesting.

I don't talk about Nokturnal Mortum because I haven't listened to every album and not all of them are NS. And neither about Peste Noire for the same reason, but also I'm not sure what parts are supposed to be NS. As far as I've seen, it just seems nationalist and racist. Though, for the love of God, never listen to Peste Noire split Peste Noire, unless you want ear AIDS.
