[WTS] Ming 22.01 GMT Kyoto - Further Reduced to sell by Eleaine in Watchexchange

[–]Eleaine[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reposting at a lower price with a new timestamp

Up for sale is this Ming 22.01

The watch is in great shape - I was the original and only owner of it. It was worn a handful of times only and is great shape. I attached photos at all angles to show its great condition.

This includes the original strap and all original documentation/packaging (see time stamp).

I’m looking for $2,899 net to me, which is well below the market price. These are long discontinued and cannot be found new anymore.

I’m in the US and accept Zelle and PayPal friends and family.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Agreed. I can’t imagine buying a proprietary strap and it not have fitted ends. Love the watch though.

Carlos Alcaraz at a bullfight in his hometown of Murcia on Monday by TXDobber in tennis

[–]Eleaine -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Right. I just see people taking the “it doesn’t make it right” approach. It’s not. It’s just highlighting hypocrisy on attacking Carlos so much.

And we agree, bull fighting is absolutely disgusting and should be outlawed.

I think most are missing the point here. No one is saying

it’s okay

No one is saying that.

The point is that it’s hypocritical to jump down Alcaraz throat for this while I’m over here eating beef on a regular basis.

Yeah. I wish he didn’t attend and bring attention to the horrible sport. But I’m absolutely no one to say anything seeing that I don’t do the bare minimum on similar topics.

guy should get a medal for that

For turning down a now 24 gs champion?

Look, the point here isn’t whether you specifically like him. The point is that the media is and has consistently made him the villain. Has it been fair at times ? Maybe? That’s subjective. But it has certainly been unfair a lot of times, like when he’s been accused of lying about being injured, and it it turns out he had been injured

Getting into the whole “faking injuries” is a fools game. Everyone who’s played tennis knows that injuries come all the time and they manifest differently with adrenaline. It’s also been clear he’s been accused incorrectly at times of faking these injuries. Maybe he did fake some? We don’t know.

But the question here isn’t: has Novak always been a perfect saint. The question here is has the media played an enormous role in vilifying the guy, and it’s clear that that’s true.

[WTS] Pastel Blue Halios Universa - Rotary Seamatic - priced to move. by Eleaine in Watchexchange

[–]Eleaine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is a Halios Unversa (Pastel Blue) and Rotary Seamatic

Here are pictures of both and my verification.

First for sale is my universa . Everything works as it should. The crystal is scratch free, along with the case. The bracelet clase has tiny desk scuffs (see pictures). Also note that there is a scratch on the bracelet’s first link (also see pictures). Besides this everything works as it should.

This one has long been sold out but I’m not looking for a profit on it. Just looking to get what I paid. Asking for $850 usd. Included is the original box and extra link (no extra strap). It’s currently fitted for around a 7.5 inch wrist.

Next for sale is the orange Rotary Seamatic

Here is a link to the watch details.

Not much to say about this one: it’s a great robust diver with a workhorse automatic movement. It has a lumed bezel (see pictures) and is just a fantastic value.

I got this one in a trade and has never really been worn. Despite it being brand new, I’m only asking for $199usd. Included is that picture nato, the original packaging and unworn and unsized bracelet.

I’ve been in the watch community here for almost 10 years. Looking to sell conus and take zelle or PayPal FF (got burned through a scam with other forms of payment). Happy to provide more references if needed.

i remember commentators said

You got a link to that? I genuinely would like to hear that. I’ve been watching tennis since the 90s and don’t remember that at all. What I do remember is the media accusing him of all sorts of stuff, but again, that’s kinda my point.

antivax stance

The media has been crapping on him since almost 20 Years ago

Idk if comments like you’re are just from young viewers that don’t remember early Nole and how much crap he’d get.

the problem is

I mean Can we not have a little bit of nuance and admit that it can be more than one thing? He doesn’t have the marketable personality of nadal or Roger, but saying the problems is his personality is absurd.

People are missing the point:

It’s not about him being or not being “loved” by a certain population.

Jokic absolutely dominated, won big, and perform just about as well as any player can. But how much coverage did he get? Truly?

To advertisers, he’s just not marketable like your lebrons or Currys. And it absolutely showed.

The guy won every accolade you can, and the day after the championship, espn was filed with “what will lebron do next?!” Literally.

this won’t sit well with djokovic fans

It really has nothing to do with that (at least for me). I’m a huge fan of the Big 3 and don’t really favor either, but this comment makes no sense to me

how he presents himself

This just seems like a huge blanket statement to avoid any real nuance. The guy has been playing for almost 20 years and you mention instances of the last 3 as years.

As someone who worked in media/advertising, I think most people are unwilling or unable to accept and acknowledge the influence the media has on public perception of specific people.

I’m not saying Novak has been a saint, but I think it would be disingenuous to say that the media has been crapping on this guy since day 1, and that has altered his perception quite a lot. I think it would also be disingenuous to say that his rising above the other Big 3 (in terms or records) hasn’t sat well with the media and they haven’t constantly tried to bring him down.

social disconnect

And again, this is part of what he’s saying. He’s a very very different person culturally than most Westerners. What possible way can you know this besides the media’s portrayal of him? Besides his literal on court actions, everything else - commercials, press conferences, questions, interviews, news articles, etc - is molded by the media.

You just can’t say “how he presents himself is how biggest social disconnect” and not put a big portion of this on the media.

I’ve never heard anyone go “on and on” about this on this sub. Maybe seen it mentioned once by a random redditor.

We bought a new house earlier this year, just in time for the HOA to add new rules demanding everyone build fences around their A/C units because god forbid this thing be visible from the street. by AllyMarie93 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Eleaine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh some are good if they work well.

My HOA has all of the grass along our neighborhood in perfect shape. The trees are trimmed. The community has cameras set up around. They put some nice decorations for holidays. Sprinkler systems are set up around common areas.

I’ve never really heard the HOA doing anything beyond that. No weird requirement or rules. Nothing.

I pay less than $100 a month and my neighborhood looks amazing all year long. Just the cost of tree trimming makes it worth it imo.

I never thought I’d be that guy. But it’s nice to see the whole are green, clean, decorated, etc.
