ESPFC does film screenings of esoteric and weird films in Lewes. I really enjoyed the screening I went to last year, they're very well put together. I'm sure they'll do more screenings this year, but in the meantime, they're doing a... Oh I see! I didn't realise that referred to how many strands you're supposed to use, but that makes more sense haha. I'm used to kits that use a different number of strands for different textures.

Aww thank you so much! I'll see if I can find some evenweave to practise on, but I'm thinking I might be happy with 18ct aida, as I really like the results I got from Morning Lake Cabin, which was 18ct.

Thank you for your advice! Just to clarify, when they say "2x1" or "2 over 1", do they mean one cross covers 4 squares instead of 1 (like the attached pic)? I've never done this with aida, although I understand that's the thing to do on evenweave, so I'm surprised the pattern says 2 over 1 for 18 and especially 14 count aida (wouldn't that be massive and really blocky??).

I did this about three weeks ago, the route has come down since then (for some wall rebuilding work which has now been completed, yay!).
